Thats not the reason why they have them here.

Well good for them. Those Personalausweise here are quite handy, too. Can't understand the fuzz about it. whats this? (bolded bit) German version of the personal id card. so is this in addition to a passport?, or does it replace it? It's an addition. Same in France. ID card is fine for travel under Schengen.

http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB279/index.htm 20 intervies and 5 casual conversations between former Iraq leader and one of the few Arabic speakers in the FBI. Just released under freedom of information, i think.

The french love their id cards, dont see any problems here with them.

Nah, Phorm sounds horrendous and illegal as you say, was just being pejorative. I do think the internet is (obviously) the new economic frontier and we should encourage a system that facilitates trade and rewards innovation. I've just downloaded some opensource software for my mac, which was obviously free. Its that good, i would have happily paid for it. Which would mean they could spend more time innovating the next release. Its a balance of course but there was a naive generation of developers who grew up in the 90s thinking that money grew on trees.

e-music has an offer for 50 free downloads if you sign up, think you can cancel if you dont want the subscription. Worth checking out. The way forward for 'alternative' means of acquiring music is usenet. Join a newsgroup server (subscribe or use your ISP's), download a newsreader and max out your download speed, automate tv shows, movies and music you like, then get plexapp.com to play it all in. This method makes it impossible for your ISP to monitor your d/ls since its SSL encrypted. Or something like that.

People at work keep telling me to listen to Florence and the Machine so I popped on here to see the consensus among people I don't despise. Nice suprise to see I've already dismissed them and don't have to indulge this particular recommendation. Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks It's the soundtrack to the summer. Plink plink plink plink plink plink plink plink plink plink plinky plonk. Anyone who does a cover of 'you got the love' is alright with me. When she goes 'balearic', its decent party music. Album is a bit shit overall.

An Aldi voucher! Now there's a gift worth receiving. If you do work there then "Clowns to left of me, jokers to the right, here i am. Stuck in the Lidl with you" would be a great competitive advertising campaign.
