  1. That's got to be the single biggest loss on these forums since Parky lost his mind in the summer of 2008. Well done you.
  2. Parky doesnt just tell the truth, he is the truth.
  3. Fuck world hunger, Obama hasnt closed Gitmo yet.
  4. Indeed. I have no idea whether this is folly though as i dont know why its different from lossless fomats. I have bought some lossless music but its a pain in the arse to manage.
  5. Aye but it disappeared in the early hours of saturday morning, it would have sunk by now. What your latest theory Parking fine?
  6. I assume its a lossless format but there seems to be more to it than that. I think we have lived through the absolute worst period in the whole of human history for listening to music. Even when analogue recordings were being made in the early 20th century, i'd rank them as higher for the end-use than an MP3 because in those days recorded music sounded magical and people had different expectations. I grew up listening to my dad's vinly going through an insanely good analogue amp. The MP3 is a con but i think its days are over. It was invented in the 90s to deal with lack of storage space. A CD with 8 to 10 songs takes up around 800mb to 1GB? The equivalent MP3 is < 10% of that. Storage space shouldnt be an issue for most users so the MP3 should now be redundant. This pono thing would need a cloud service if its to work.

  13. At least we dont have to worry about his half time team talks now. We should see that 90 minute consistency now that was clearly not happening because of Pardew.

  18. Are we currently funded by Arab / A.N. Other billionaires desperate to convert their cash wealth into asset wealth? No. Therefore, your perspective is limited. Why? Because we cant attract the very best talent which the very richest clubs are competing for. Therefore, you have a choice; seek out and attract players who see the club as their destination or seek out and attract players who have the ambition to play for the very richest clubs in the world. Given the turnover of players at a club, you are looking to 'maximise the current talent pool' at any one time by having a buy / sell policy that keeps the quality as high as possible. If you dont have the resources to instantaneously replenish that pool each transfer window like City, Chelsea etc then you need a model that does something else. If you seek out players that see the club as a destination and dont have the potential to be better, the average talent pool at the club will be lower than if you seek out players who want to use the club to 'take their game to the next level'. Its completely rational and optimal within the landscape.
