They deny that to fuck and apparently the Moores family had more of an influence at Everton. There was some involvement at LFC but I can’t find an independent source to get to the truth tbh. There’s no doubt that they did good business back in the day, they signed Rush for 20k got 3mill for him which went a long way to paying for Aldridge, Barnes, Beardsley and Houghton the following season.
