Because they'd be court martialled and shot anyway? -
Well played, you deserve your victory. I suspected a result like this ever since Freddie & co said "we haven't let the ashes go to our heads, we're taking this seriously honest" bullshit from day one.
-
I reckon Souness gives everyone a 'free role'.
-
You have miss understood luke. They all have that cuntish aspect to them, ie. over the top celebrations, trying everything they can get away with in order to gain an advantage (something that is over the top in football at the moment anyway), slating the opposition, etc - combine that with their increased exposure it makes it very easy to dislike them because they come across as "are a nasty, whingeing, over-competitive, cheating shitbag(s)." to quote NJS. 63212 I do understand, I don't really think Warne or Hewitt are like that tbh.

Stuart Pearce is doing a good job for Citeh...aren't they his first club? (caretaker spell at Forest for like 6 months aside)
-
Warne is one of the best sportsmen in the world, his off-field activites aside, both how he plays the game and the spirit in which he plays it. I wish he was English. I've always thought Hewitt was a model pro as well. Now, Harry Kewell on the other hand...

Are they them white minty things?

Read my post again - it was his aggressive personality that was the cause of both his(and our) success and downfall. Bellamy was a success (briefly) because he was an odious aggressive shitbag who got under his opponents' skin. Bellamy left because he was an odious aggressive shitbag who got under his manager's skin. Shola scored against the Mackems despite being a donkey, not because of it. See the difference?

To be fair to Cahill, he immediatly put Parker in the recovery position when he swallowed his tongue. Could have been very nasty if he hadn't.
-
Exactly, being a horrible little cunt is part of his game, winding up the opposition, putting them off their game. Having the confidence and arrogance to run at defenders. How many times did people say before "he's an arsehole, but I'm glad he's our arsehole"? Craig, you've completley missed my point tbh.
-
He was a contributing factor, yes. But it seems churlish to vilify him for the bad things he did and not credit him for the good things, particularly as it was his antagonistic and aggressive personality that both lifted and later deflated the team. It's akin to criticising Kevin Pietersen for getting out caught in the deep trying to heave the spinner into space - that's how he plays his game and no-one complains when the ball sails into the car park.

After watching Rome for the last few weeks, I could no longer resist temptation and watched Life of Brian the other night. What did the Romans ever do for us?! -
I will conceed that we're in a worse position than we were 2 years ago. But I won't agree that Craig Bellamy is the sole, or even primary reason for this - in fact I'd argue that he is one of the reasons we went into decline... 62588 He was one of if not the most prominent reasons we were in that position to decline from in the first place tbh.

Oh and Allardyce?
-
Fundamentalist? If that doesn't get him over here, nothing will!

The Libertines - Up the Bracket. Thought I'd lost it, but found it in my housemates room!
-
This means Owen has only played in half of our games since he signed.
-
Do you want to take this outside? I may be a touch biased, but I've greatly enjoyed living in Nottingham and still look forward to going home, and not just for sentimental reasons. I prefer the nightlife for a start - Leeds is good for a laugh, but it's just full of generic clubs that you get everywhere else.

Most of us knew what you were on about, mate. 61698 Err...yeah, but Souness was talking about their lifestyle. I doubt their life style involves brawling all the time! 61700 "They are all very good professionals" Being professional refers to how a player behaves on and off the pitch. It's usually the off pitch bit that gets ignored by some, yet bizarrely you think fighting on it doesn't make someone unprofessional. And quit with the eye rolling smilies - your attempts at being patronising are pathetic. 61764 Thanks. Deary me! What happened that day was very unprofessional. But do you seriously think those players that were involved are unprofessional all the time? Or was it just a one-off? What do you know about Nihat's attitude? What do you know about Sanli's lifestyle?? What do you know about Emre's dedication? Souness knows a lot more about them than you do. Are you going to disagree with that? 61774 I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall here, but: I do not know nor care about Nihat's attitude or lifestyle. He could spend half of his time off the pitch in the gym and the other half in church praying for good results, if he brawls on the pitch he is being unprofessional, as you admit. Maybe it was a one-off, but a brief history of Turkish football suggests their players and fans are rather prone to 'one-off incidents' such as these. Either way, it is pretty stupid of Souness to come out and call them model pros so soon after such an incident. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if these comments were in direct reference to the match in question. You seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder over this issue - I stress again I'm not saying that all Turkish players are like this, but they do seem more prone to bouts of such unprofessionalism, and what Souness said given recent events seems rather daft.

Only sissies carry guns.

Fuck off the lot of you! Nottingham has a few problems, but so does any major city - London, Leeds, Manchester etc etc etc. Tabloid sensationalist views aside, Nottingham is a great place to live.
