To be very truthful, as the 2nd half progressed and we were playing against 10 men my confidence in Wigan pulling off a draw, even a win, was growing, and growing. Dominating the game, so much possesion, so many chances, so many missed chances, it was looking like we just couldn't buy a goal for love nor money and we would end up with the short end of the stick again. 86th minute we finally score, what a fucking relief. We were the better team, we deserved the win, thank god for the 3 points, but BLOODY 'ELL.

Have to agree with you again worse luck Mr.Jimbo, with very little good service he kept himself and the Boro defenders busy and I think Viduka should have been the one to make way for Owen, but fair enough he scored a goal which sadly didn't turn out to be the winner. I've had some doubts about Martins but I think with help and good service he could turn out to be a good buy.

WHY wasn't Nobby Solano on the bench instead of Damage ffs?. Sure he might be leaving but to my knowledge there's been no offers for him and he's an available player unless there's something I don't know like an injury or there's no future for him in Sam's team. WHY NOT use Nobby while he's still with us and getting paid ffs? Nobby has been the answer to Carr at right-back as everyone has seen. I have to question what Sam sees in Damage that is better than Edgar or Hunty, and how can Enrique be somewhat NOT ready to play or even make the bench. I think Big Sam got it wrong today, when Carr got injured he had 2 other options. He could have moved Geremi or Taylor to right-back. Moving Taylor there he could have brought Cacapa on in the middle. Moving Geremi there he could have brought Owen on and dropped Milner into Geremi's position.

It looked apparent he was not going to feature in the scheme of things so perhaps it's best to bite the bullet and let him go on a free, at least the money for his weekly wage won't keep going down the drain.

Credit the lad for staying with us so long when obviously he has enough talent to be a No.1 elsewhere. Perhaps he's the loyalty kind who is content enough playing 2nd fiddle, content enough with his wages, happy enough to stay in the North East, and perhaps he's not overly ambitious and is happy enough with his lot and doing the best he can. More power to him, sometimes moves don't turn out for the best.

I'm not into booing and don't appreciate it but I can understand it on occasions like today and so many days in the past. I think perhaps today it came from high expectations after last weeks result and disappointment at todays performence, and that's part & parcel of being a Newcastle supporter isn't it? Good one week bad the next. If you've nothing against Yo-Yo's then you have to love Newcastle cos it's always an up & down situation concerning feelings.

Has the rot set in already? Another game we should have won and didn't. Martins, Viduka, Owen, Ameobe, Smith, Milner, and not a goal between them. Clean sheet yes, but we should score at home. We could have lost it in the last 20 minutes. Love the way Carr gets forward, gets stranded, and is too slow to get back. Disappointed, felt sure we would win our first at home.

Like you'd have to do after landing at the airport? The point I'm trying to make is internal flights are becoming more of an option these days, and in terms of time, its probably as quick as it is to commute by car in some cases, so is it really so necessary to live in London ? That's a good point Mr.Jimbo, years ago people were buying homes in places like Derbyshire and commuting to London where they worked. They might still be.

A little bit of over-simplifying here don't you think?, It may well only take 3 hours from Newcastle to Kings Cross by train but what about the time taken to get to the Central Station and the time taken to get to wherever his kids are in London. If you know London and how big it is then you know that 3 hour journey could turn into 6. I agree it's his own fault but you can't fault him for wanting to be closer to his kids under any circumstance if it's at all possible.

I think you're right Doctor, I think I mixed him up with Geremi who can play right back if called upon. He is mostly known as a stopper so I have subsequently edited and changed my suggested line-up.
