  1. Hey, just how many new players have Huddersfield got already, I see they just signed a Danish defender, is that 4 or 5?
  2. Fellow promoterees Brighton and Huddersfield have each signed 2 players. Both have signed a Goalie and a Midfielder. Huddersfield have Mooy & Lossi, while Brighton have Ryan & Gross. We got Atsu and neebuggerelse at the minute.
  3. Came from an article in the Chronicle by Lee Ryder refuting something posted in the 'Sun' about Rafa walking.
  4. Rafa is walking? Well as expected the rumours have started due to the lack of activity in the transfer market. This wanting to pay a buy-out clause in installments when it's less than 9m would give me itchy feet. Of course we have no idea what's going on behind closed doors, and we have no idea if any concrete bids have been made for players of Rafa's choosing, and who they are. What we do know is that Rafa's plan to bring players in early in the summer window has not happened, and we have no idea if any are coming. We can only hope there will be additions and they will be of better quality than what we have.
  5. Well still a fanny.
  6. Tammy-Tammy, such a fanny.
  7. Stop yer fucking moaning ye gloomy sod, that's my job. And NO, we're not singing.
  8. It must be getting frustrating for Rafa, nobody in yet except Atsu, and he had said he wanted new players in quickly. I think part of the problem lies with agents and players who are trying to negotiate terms above and beyond what they're worth. What's equally frustrating is when you read we have made an approach for a player and his club states there has been no bids from anyone including us. I honestly thought we would have had some new faces by now based on all the hype of Rafa being a drawing card, Ashley's promise to spend, a great fan base, and Premier League status.
  9. Article in the Chronicle written by Andrew Musgrove titled........... Newcastle United has all the ingredients for success, but the fans need to see transfer movement. Read it and see where I am coming from.
  10. No offence taken, always taken in good humour unless it's obviously not.
  11. It's nice when someone who doesn't always agree with you, sticks up for you. Thanks for that Looney Toony. Disagreeing with someone's opinion is one thing but slagging them about it is quite a different story. Hey Howay, sorry if I make you and yer marras' a little sick with me moaning, have as many pops at me as you wish.
  12. To be honest, I thought we would have had some good news by now about incoming transfers instead of all this seemingly idle gossip and meaningless trivia in the press. I am beginning to get nervous mostly by the fact that others are getting people in and we're not.
  13. How true, and he was dropped for the game against Poland and only came on for the last 20 minutes
  14. Thing is, it seems to be about the number of goals he scored at Bristol which doesn't really say he would flourish in the Premier League. We had Gayle in double figures for us but there seems to be those who don't think he can perform in the Premier League. I'm not trying to be negative, I just have doubts about someone with promise he won't fill.
  15. Just watched the second half of the U 21 England v Slovakia 2 - 1 win. And again not impressed with Abraham, gave bad passes, kept losing the ball in his attempted dribbles, and doesn't play much of a game off the ball.
  16. Just watched second half of Sweden v England under 21's, not impressed by Tammy Abraham's showing.
  17. Should I begin to worry? Huddersfield have got one in, Everton 2, Leicester 1, Man Ure 1, etc etc. We've just got them gannin oot. I don't count Atsu cos he was already here. These newspaper rumours, or wherever they come from, really get up me nose. I thought we'd have someone by now.
  18. Andrew on the reserves to fillerup like
  19. Your glasses might be half full but mine will be half empty until I see some new signings.
  20. Thing is, you can almost bet Ashley will sell at anytime if the price is right for him. Money always talks, and let's face it, there will always be a leery feeling about any possible buyer even if they are rolling in the billions.
  21. I think that with a steady run of games in the starting line-up, service to suit his style, he could well prove to be a decent Premier league striker. Lack of playing time, brought on as a late substitute, is not the way to raise his game. Ant is right, there has to be consistency for him to improve.
  22. Nitro scores for Serbia to give them a draw against Wales. Came close with a back to the goal a bicycle kick. Still has potential, played 90 minutes.
  23. So sad, put in some good shifts for us, RIP Tiote.
  24. You know, I suppose I'm really 'old school', but it bugs me when English born players elect to represent another country, especially when it's obvious they would never make the England squad. Classic example is Vinnie Jones turning out for Wales, I guess with a name like Jones it's close enough. I wonder how many English born lads we have at our club who have claimed decendency status? ( me great-great granny slept wi a Scot afore the waal was built ye knaa). Where were Elliot, Dummett, Ritchie, Clark, our 'foreign' players born? When Jackie Charlton managed Ireland I wonder how many of his squad weren't from Ireland and hadn't even been there before he picked them.
