Gamez.........I've harped on long enough about him playing left-back. Perhaps Rafa should stay away more often. Starting Perez is like getting an immediate red-card and having ten men. Great result I never expected, I thought we would lose. Whoopeee.

Looking at the Table, A loss against Swansea will not drop us back into the bottom 3. A draw would move us up a couple of places. A win would shoot us up to nigh on mid-table. C'mon Lads. Based on possible player fitness, my starting line-up would be: Who can better it? Elliot Yedlin Lejeune Clark Gamez/Haidara Ritchie Merino Shelvey Atsu Joselu Gayle I say Gamez or Haidara at left back because (a) Gamez played at left back in his first season with Simone at Athletico. (b) Haidara is a left back and we've seen him there. I am against playing people out of position, it's always hit or missy. If Nitro wasn't suspended I would start him before Gayle.

Was reading up on local football team here in Southern California called 'Orange County Soccer Club' and on paper one of the coaching staff claims to have done a stint with NUFC circa 1978-1979. Apparently as a goalkeeper, Victor Nogueira, I've never heard of him but it could be true, is it? Apparently 'Orange County Soccer Club' is the name now used in 2017. In 2016 it appears to have been called 'Orange County Blues' and lists Barry Venison as one of the coaches in that year.

If I was Rafa I would bite the bullet and do the best I could with what I've got. Come January, if I didn't get the funds I needed, and the players I wanted, I would announce that I was available to manage any club that was prepared to finance a move that would take care of any problems with my departure in regard to contracts. If Ashley fired me I would take him to court.

All this chit-chat about no back-up at left back with Dummett out injured, playing Mbemba and Clark out of position, makes me wonder where Rafa's head is? Reason I say that is because...........Jesus Gamez. Gamez is a right-back, true, however when he signed for Athletico Madrid, in the 2014-2015 season Diego Simeone played him at left-back for most of his first season with them. He played a total of 21 games in that first season and apparently at left-back in most of them. That being so, why play central defenders out of position when you have someone with some experience in that position. Being a well experienced full-back, albeit on the right, makes more sense he could adjust to the left side a lot easier than central-defenders who had not played full-back before.

It would be easy to say I'm not surprised that we didn't make any last gasp signings, but I am surprised, and greatly disappointed. I was fully expecting someone based on things Benitez said in his Press meetings. I fully expected a fruitful last ditch effort which obviously didn't happen, not even with this Kenedy who has been touted for so long. Of course you can blame Ashley and Charnley as much as you want, but some fault has to lie with Benitez. Jesus man, he might have been looking for a goalkeeper but Chris Hughton didn't have to look too far to get Krul on loan. I'm not at all enthused with the players that have been brought in as none of them are marquee players, or players with vast experience in top teams or leagues. LeJuene looks like he could be a winner, maybe Merino too, but I don't know about Atsu, Manquillo, Murphy, and Joselu. I hope they all put me to shame and turn out to be gems in the Premier League, and show that Benitez might have known just what he was doing.

I like Nitro, I think he has good potential, I think he is of value to us, I think he will score his share of goals, but..................... I think it would be as well to get shot of him as he is a constant suspension in waiting.

Credit to Joselu for scoring in his first start. Credit to Clark for his well placed header and clearance off the line. Credit to Nitro for his clinical goal, I felt sure he was going to blast it. Merino will look good with Shelvey in the middle. Mbemba did alright out of position but was a bit of a liability on occasion. Perez should not be a starter, he's too lightweight and and misses good chances to score. I felt easier when we got the second goal as West Ham had taken control of the game in the second half.

Ye knaa, aa fully expected DeJong to start , he wasn't on the bench and hasn't been for our 3 games. I like him and think he would be an asset. I really have to question Rafa cos he's never started wot I consider our best and winning team. I can assure you that with my experience, expertise, know-how, ability, and knowledge of the game, we would not have lost our first 3 games.

I have donned my tin-hat ready for the flak that will no doubt I will be bombarded with. My confidence in Benitez just took a dive. I don't want to listen to excuses that the league cup loss means nowt. To lose against a lower tier team is not acceptable but I should be used to it by now shouldn't I. 3 losses in a row sucks .........BIG TIME. It's already a long hard season.

According to the Forest commentators the second half was all Newcastle but no score. Forest came close in the last couple of minutes. Now it's extra time.

I'm listening to the match on BBC Radio Nottingham and if they are to be believed(and why shouldn't they) it sounds like Forest have been on top for most of the first half. If we lose this one I want Rafa flogged for his starting line-up. Can't wait to hear what changes he'll make for the second half.

I would like to see DeJong given a shot at #10 position, I think he can do it but seems to be neglected by Rafa.
