  1. Totally inappropriate to purposely halt a league game to substitute and parade a player off in that manner regardless of who it is.
  2. Next thing is, you'll be hearing I've been asked to clean my boots. And no doubt you'll read about me being asked to assist Rafa, apparently I pick better starting line-ups.

  4. Well done Steve Bruce! Well done Villa! Well done Brighton ...... you lost the points that gifted us the title. Well done Rafa! Haway the Lads. Noo wots ganna happen? C'mon Ashley, dig deep in yer pockets an' hoy some money oot.
  5. It's not a question of us winning the title, it's about Brighton losing it. It's not about us getting 3 points at home, it's about them dropping 2 or 3 points away.
  6. If that was intended to be a shop-window, someone forgot to dress the merchandize and turn the lights on. Murphy? didn't realize he was playing until he was taken off. Not an entertaining or inspiring game but at least we won with 2 good goals.
  7. It's one thing to park the bus, but it's another thing to park it outside the city limits and not show up for the first half.
  8. I'm shocked he hasn't started Gouffran!!
  9. I thought he would have given Nitro another start ...............and he should of.
  10. Dr Gloom, I think you're being a bit harsh on Gamez and Laazar, I don't think we've seen enough of them to see how good they are, and we know Gamez has played in the Champions League.
  11. I accept the criticism, jibes, and the humour but...............................keep in mind that in all my playing days, and there was a massive amount of them over the years, a hand-ball was never more than a free-kick. I feel safe in saying that 25 years or so ago, what happened today, would have just been a penalty and nobody would have been sent off. They changed the fucking rules without my acquiescence.
  12. No complaints about the starting line-up with the possible exception of Anita. Aye, he played in good tandem with Ritchie down the right side but they were most dangerous down his side and he was often miles away. Pleased as punch when Perez scored the first goal but got a bit worried when they equalized as they were playing a decent passing game. I'm super glad we got the needed 2 points today and don't have to worry now that we won't get automatic promotion. My worry now will be what will happen in the off season because as I see it we don't have a Premier League team........ AND, will Benitez get what he wants by way of enough money to bring in the players he wants, and get the incentive to stay with us.
  13. I know the rules but wot the fuck!! I don't think he should have been sent off for the hand ball, what else could he do to stop it going in the net. I think a yellow card and a penalty is enough punishment for a desperate reflex action like that.
  14. The threat of Reading disappeared with their loss today, if they won their last 2 games and we lost our last 3 it would put them on equal points at 85 but we would take it on goal difference. Huddersfield are the only remaining threat to our automatic promotion. If they win their last 3 games it will give them 87 points. We stand at 85 points with 3 games to go. 2 points from our last 3 games would give us 87 points but we would take it on goal difference. A win on Monday would do the trick and see us promoted, but it could become nail-biting if we lost.
  15. If yer foot has to be shot, nee doots aboot wor expertease in deeing that.
  16. Miracle of miracles scenario.............. Brighton lose their last 2 games ........ ( highly unlikely). Newcastle win their last 3 games ......( probably unlikely) And Newcastle nick the title by 2 points ...... ( God, Buddha, Allah, any super-power, it's time to show up)
  17. For them who............ Game Online Monday courtesy of beIN Sports Connect. Not sure about telly yet.
  18. When you say a team has nothing to play for, what institution have you been domiciled in? Anyone, everyone, steps out on the pitch to win, trying to win is what competition is all about, even if there is nothing at stake you will not want to lose. Preston, and the other two, will try to beat us, it's the nature of the game, they will not sit back and let us win because they have nothing to play for. To beat Newcastle would be a feather in their cap.
  19. How about these changes for next Monday? Am I that stupid? (you won't hurt my feelings) 4 - 4 - 2..........Fuck the lone striker bit. Keeper.............Darlow, playing well enough to keep his place over Elliott. Right-back........Yedlin, he offers pace and gets aggressively forward. Centre-back......Mbemba, I rate him better than Lascelles. Centre-back......Clark if he's ready, Hanley if he's not, maybe even Dummett who's played it before. Left-back...........Gamez, according to records he can play either side, and I think he's been neglected. Right-mid...........Ritchie, one of our best performers. Centre-mid.........Shelvey, he has the ability and can play well. Centre-mid.........Hayden, he can do the job. Left-mid..............Haidara, surprise eh? he's a left sided player, can defend and get forward. Striker.................Gayle if he's available, Murphy if he's not. Striker.................Mitrovic, holds the ball well and wins his share of high balls.
  20. Why bring Ashley into this, we had a good first-half season and more with the players we've got. Ashley has got nothing to do with the way we are losing and dropping unnecessary points. We would have beaten Leeds had it not been for a poor defensive mistake which cost us 2 points. Blame Ashley all you want for being a tight-arsed dick-head, but don't hold him responsible for piss-poor performances, and losing points we should be getting. I've got this awful sinking feeling that if we don't start getting points in our last 3 games, Huddersfield will leapfrog us into 2nd place and we'll be faced with the play-offs which might spell a death note for us. We had a massive goal difference over everyone and look at us now, tied at 37 with Brighton. Not Ashley's fault, we've had multiple chances galore but we haven't put them in.
  21. To drop another 3 points is clearly the fault of Rafa Benitez. And that is my considered opinion, call me what you like. 5 changes from a team that played so well against Leeds, wot the fuck was the maestro thinking of. The first 5 minutes had the looks of a losing game and it got worse ...... and worse as time went on. Is Rafa blind, why didn't he make changes at half time, plan A obviously wasn't working, anyone could see that. It would be hard to pick-out one player that had a good game, overall we were piss-poor throughout. Am I pissed off?...........You bet I fucking am!! Are we looking at the play-offs?..........I hope not.
  22. Sure Lascelle's scored our goal, but I fault him for allowing Woods to score their equalizer. Gouffran was a bit anonymous, but I expected that. Mbemba is beginning to show his earlier promise Nitro put in a good shift even if he didn't score. Perez is still a lightweight and wastes good chances. Good to see Yedlin is back in contention. Good shift put in by Hayden, glad to see him back. The tackle that Colback put in, is exactly what I would have done in the same situation. All in all we played some much better than before stuff, just too bad we fucked-up in stoppage time and didn't get the 3 points we deserved.
  23. Not happy again, but that's because we dropped 2 points after playing some really decent football for a change. Sad it had to finish that way but the fault really lies with the fact that we didn't bury them and make it impossible for them to gain anything from the game, heaven knows we had the upper hand and lots of chances.
  24. Not happy with Gouffran starting, he's been poor in his last two starts.
