Something which hasnt been mentioned yet is the structure of your site, it needs to be well structured using CSS and XHTML. Make sure its got good accesibility and the likes of images are correctly tagged with titles and alt tags.

If you have a TV-in on your PC cant you just attach it to that? (as long as you've got one of them adaptors mentioned above). If you havent got one, its probably not much more to buy a new graphics card with one on that it would be to pay a company to convert (I guess)

An easy way to up the rating would be to get people to put the link in their sigs on here.

Metatags are not the way forward, the likes of google ignores them. Htt is right its down 2 links in and good ones too. Do not use adfarms.

Otherwise its going to be just getting people to write blogs on a set system such as LiveJournal or the likes which would be messy I reckon.
