I realised I actually bought some CDs a few months ago - all 5 remastered Suede albums.

Thought they were good but not great - never got the dance thing - just thought they were a decent guitar band. Good memories of listening to the first album a lot on holiday with the lads in Cyprus in 89. A bit pissed off - been to work today which inviolved replacement buses and the tube (God it stinks) and as the job took longer than planned I had nowt to eat from breakfast time till I got in at 5:30. So I made a massive curry (when I say made I mean poured a Patak sauce over some chicken and nuked it) but had only finished about a third of it when a bit went down the wrong way and I ended up vomming Couldn't face the rest of it - what a fucking waste.

Probably the year I made the most as a contractor but didn't save a penny of it. Went to Belgrade as well as a couple of other places on holiday. Cup final of course. Also went out with a Goddess for a couple of months - I've resigned myself to the fact I'll never do better.

The starting premise of the family having 3 kids which I think is iffy now never mind when the planet's properly fucked made me start off not really caring about the main characters. Most banks do what is called a "basic" bank account which requires no credit check - you can get a cash card with it but no debit card unfortunately. One of the Wonga/Quick Quid sites did what I thought was an interesting advert a while ago - as it only ran for a short while I assume they were forced to pull it. It compared the cost of getting a small amount (£50-£100) from them and paying it back a couple of weeks later on your pay day with an unauthorised overdraft complete with the usual letter from a big bank - guess which was cheaper. Overall the concept is a a bid sad and in some ways preys on the desperate but I don't think morally they're too far away from other financial organisations.
