Gemmill 44090
Shame if he has done his cruciates like. As much as I didn't want him to do well for Boro, I'd have been quite happy with him staying fit and just playing for a shit team.
Isegrim 9676
Can't really see the funny aspect of this tbh. That will be the German sense of humour Zip it, or I will make jokes about your name. But honestly, Woodgate is hardly the player I wish any injury. It doesn't matter for whom he is playing now. He really hardly is that kind of hate figure for Newcastle you wish any sort of serious injury IMHO.

No in all honesty I agree, was a very good player for the games we got out of him and has had sh*t luck with injuries. Shame because he could have been one of the best but will most likely end his career as a fantastic player who hardly played!

Tooj 17
Can't believe people are happy that things like this has happened to the lad, best centre half I've seen at this club in my lifetime and it's not even close. Worse thing about this is it isn't even one of those muscle injuries that he often gets and it's like Owen with his injuries, you can't compensate for a cruciate. Geordie Boot Boy 0
Not really bothered TBH. Very good player who chose not to come back to this club when he had the chance. I can't imagine that he's even close to being a model professional away from the pitch either. Reap what you sow.
The Fish 10659
hope he can recover. be a shame if a player of his potential misses out on really shining on the big stage. A potential he's missed out on, only through bad luck with injuries, rather than squandering it like so many players.
Kevin Carr's Gloves 3788
He is a really good player who plays for one of our rivals. I hope the same happens to everybody else's best palyers too. It's happened to ours.
Dr Gloom 21756
gutted for him. but you have to wonder why someone can have such bad luck with injuries. is it all down to poor luck or could he look after himself better off the pitch. sweetleftpeg 0
It's like when people say 'I want to see the best players' at SJP. Do I fuck. When we play Liverpool, I want Gerrard injured...when we play Man U, I want Rooney and Ronaldo out injured.... In order for Boro to go down or at least have more of a chnace of going down than us, we need their best players to get injured. NO room for sentiment in football anymore, Woodgate is the best player at a relegation rival..I'd be delighted if he was knackered for the season tbh, just like Boro have been waxing lyrical about all our injuries. Fuck em tbh.

Meenzer 15342
Aye exactly. It's possible to separate feeling sorry for the lad at a personal level and being happy from a footballing point of view.
