I've decided I like it, in fact I like it a lot. It's different but not ugly, it's grown on me and I'm going to get one. People seem to have gone overboard with the whole hating it thing imo.

... they've also dropped the price of it now as well :D

oh come on, its totally awful!

not to say their haven't been other awful colours in the past, but nowadays with marketing depts & specialist PR consulants, that sort of monstrosity shouldn't have even been dreamt about.

is it made like the home kit? That is practically see through!

on a side note... I was in a Nike shop the other day and they had the Inter Milan away kits that were a similar colour and they didn't look half bad.

I haven't seen a single person wearing this abomination yet.

It isn't out for three days.

:)<_<

Be interesting to see if anyone buys one and what name they will put on the back.

I really don't see it as a bad kit, I think all this business about it being a bad one has been blown out of proportion and a lot of the media has jumped on the bandwagon.

Just my opinion like.

its just...why not yellow and green? The traditional, Northumberland colours.

FYP

Yellow and red are the traditional Northumberland colours aren't they? That's what's on the flag. Would prefer yellow and green though like the old toon kits.

I would also prefer yellow and green, however that would get a worse reception than the current kit! Not that I'm fussed.

I think the new away kit has grown on me and I don't regard it as that bad. I wont be buying one but it's not ''the worst kit ever'' as it's being made out.

Several premier league clubs have had crimes much worse away kits to put things into context...

(cant be arsed to go through the football league)

NEWCASTLE United's brand new change kit for the 2009/10 season is on sale NOW!

Already the yellow strip has outsold the new home outfit in terms of online pre-orders and supporters who buy the shirt between now and Sunday, July 26 from official club stores and from NUFC Direct will receive a fantastic 20% discount.

And United fans will have the chance to meet their Magpie heroes on Friday (July 24) when the lads will be at the St.James' Park Club Store between 1.30pm - 2.30pm.

The players will be posing for snaps, signing autographs and meeting supporters who buy the stylish new strip.

The design is original, distinctive and without doubt full of colour and energy.

Yellow away kits have a long association with Newcastle United, and if we cast our minds back to the 1992-93 season, then fans will remember the outfit worn by the likes of Andy Cole, Lee Clark and John Beresford during our last promotion campaign.

And the early signs are promising. Having worn our yellow outfit on four occasions during pre-season, the first team and reserves have a 100% record with 14 goals scored along the way.

The players themselves have taken to the new kit and everybody at the club is hoping we make a winning start to life in the Championship when we don the yellow strip for the opening game at West Brom in just over two weeks' time.
