Bolton are a canny side and we're depleted. Pretty inevitable we were going to struggle really.

Just a bit unfortunate that two players out results in depleted for us.

Key players like but that also highlights the weakness of the squad too.

It's the way we've lost though. Potentially devestating for our confidence. With Chelsea and Liverpool (who are shite, but still loads better than us and have a nasty habit of touching us up) in the next three, plus an away match at West Brom and we could easily be staring down a similar position to 2008/09 in three weeks time.

Another two easy chances muffed. Starting to wonder just what Lovenkrands is doing in black and white.

EDIT: There's another one from Williamson. It's not as though we haven't had opportunities in this game.

Something many have voiced their concerns about for weeks now.

Don't think we should overrate this poor performance, just as well as we shouldn't overrate away wins against Arsenal and Everton. Spurs have conceded four here as well.

Next up are Chelsea (H), WBA (A) and Liverpool (H). The way the season's going we could get anything between 0 and 7 points. Important is the points tally at the end of December - would be happy to have 25.

Sunderland were lucky to lose 5-1 to us and then deservedly beat Chelsea

I wasn't really underplaying the result, it's just that I gave us little chance today because we've got such an ordinary team when you make a couple of important changes. The replacements are nowhere near good enough and we've barely got a plan b.

Smith

If we never see him on the pitch again it will be too soon as far as I'm concerned at the minute.

Is this match the complete bursting of our bubble? Reality setting in?
