There needs to be a chant about "Fuck Sports Direct" (maybe a bit more imaginative than that :nufc: ). 90 minutes of it at the next match and at every televised match would wipe the smile off the fat twat's face.

"sports direct is fucking shit" is always a fun one.

Sad thing is it wouldnt, as far hes concerned it would merely mean that the blind and those listening on radio got to hear about his shops.

No publicity is bad publicity as they say.

That is fucking horrific. The bright colours of the Sports Direct signs make the legendary Newcastle United sign almost illegible. I'm in the East stand so can't see it, but conversely the fat cunt is directly opposite probably gloating. The cunt.

Guys+gals, I think we're all being hasty here to condemn Ashley and his sportsdirect advertising. Was that not one of the best home performances we've put in in years. We've lost 5 on the spin to Blackburn at St James' but yesterday, as soon as they could see the imposing SD logos everywhere, their confidence immediately evaporated and they were lambs to the slaughter. Look at the huge transformation between yesterday and the Fulham game... what was the main difference, yes, sportsdirect. Its as if they think, 'wow, if they're willing to do that to their own stadium, what are they going to do to us?'

Rather than pillorying ashley for increasing the association with sportsdirect, we should be imploring, nay, begging him to invest the whole of the 'carroll' money into more and more SD logos everywhere - on the pitch (a la the cricket sponsors), the goal posts, the actual goal net, and if money stretches to it, a fullsize massive sportsdirect.com tattooed onto obertan's forehead. If he was to put the money into this rather than onto French-speaking footballers, then we'd surely get middlesbrough style situations where teams don't even turn up to the matches and concede every game at SJP@sportsdirect.com 3-0. Granted, a 3-0 win in every home game would still not quite match deano's predictions but we can't have everything.

What was the atmosphere like down in the SE corner on Saturday? When i first looked down there from when I got into the ground their seemed to be a lot more stewards down there. Was there any bother between them and supporters with fans standing, chanting?

Unaware of any bother but the stewards took a few of the persistent standers downstairs and (presumably after giving them a final warning) let them back to their seats a bit later. It’s a bit unfair on some of the lads who have been standing on the back row for years before the LC lot turned up, but that’s how the club is being ran nowadays.

Probably been seen but this on .com

"Following problems during the Arsenal and Fulham home games with persistent standing in the Strawberry Corner, we understand that around 40 season ticket holders were handed one match "bans" excluding them from this game (although they could have bought/used seats elsewhere).

In addition it's claimed that around 100 season ticket holders in the same section were issued with written warnings as to their future conduct. At least five fans were removed by stewards in the first half today."

That's just 'wrong'

Seeing those signs in context like that grips me shit .

As an aside - Bracewell was on 3Legends tonight plugging Wraith's Entertainers Re-United gig next month. Some great local charities set to benefitincluding SBR Foundation.

It's being played at Falcons ground at Kingston Park (capacity 10,000) . Bracewell said his bit and MMac followed it by advising listeners they'd initially tried to stage it at SJP but as it involved KK they were turned down. Given the charities involved it's a sad inditement of what a mingeful cunt Ashley really is if that was the case.

Ok there's considerations of wear to pitch and stewarding costs etc. and who's to say it would've sold any more tickets than Kingston Park (but it would have of course) but what kind of vindictive horror deprives a (predominantly ?) charitable event like that out of personal wrangles !?

Logistics aside, it's got some canny names lined up in terms of nostalgia and as much as it's a daft kickabout , staging it in town with the obvious benefits thereof would surely see a decent crowd.

Sums the horrible, wierd fat shithouse up .

According to Steve wraith the club stopped the organisers taking out a small ad in the match programme... disgraceful if true

Just shows what a pitiful c*nt he is that he's punishing fans for a change that should never have happened

  • 2 weeks later...

Just a little" heads up" here.

Just passed the ground on Barrack Rd, looks like there might be more shit going up on the outside of the Milburn.

There's a cradle set up on the stairwell to the right of the Atrium entrance, which in itself is nowt, BUT, there's also a lifting block set up above it.

This means that something heavy is being lifted- and I suspect from it's position it'll be another Shite Direct sign.

Watch this space.
