Opening game of 68/69 season. 10/08/1968.

Drew 1-1 at home v Wisthaaam.

I was exactly 1 month old.

I was 11 months and a day old when we won the Fairs cup, on the same date as my son's birthday.

Haven't a clue but I do know they won the FA Cup the YEAR I was born, 1932. ;)

Well your date of birth is 13/12/32 and the closest results are as follows.

10.12.1932 Blackburn Rovers away L1-2

17.12.1932 Derby County home D0-0

We finished 5th that season and Sunderland finished 3rd.

We beat them away and they beat us at home.

Beat Pompey 3-0.

Following Saturday beat Northampton 5-0.

A good week all round for my old man.

I didnt too bad either.....

Son born on the 23rd October last year as we beat West Ham 2-1 followed by the 5-1 demolition as we were out wetting his head and rounded off nicely with a 1-0 victory at Arsenal.

Not a bad fortnight. ;)

Never knew we played the mackems on me birthday.

27 04.02.1990 Sunderland home D 1-1

Wonder if me fatha missed it! :o

Should never have taken place (the match not your birth) - there were gale force winds and I'm sure the coppers twisted the arm of the H&S bloke to allow it as midday on a bleak Sunday was better for them than a Wednesday night job.

I was dying from alcohol poisoning from a party of the Saturday night - the weekend sticks in the memory due to the derby and what I got at the party :gettin:
