Now when Colo probably is out, I've toyed with the idea to let Tiote play in central defence.. He's very stong and good at reading the game, and I would feel more safe with Tiote in central defense than Perch or Simpson... What do you think of that? In midfield Guthrie has played very well so far this season so that wouldn't be my biggest concern... Simpson - Willy - Tiote - Santon/Perch Guthrie - Cabaye - Jonas Benny Cissé Ba ? There have been some DM's who've provided solid cb cover at other clubs, just depends if he could adapt. He's a great destroyer but that doesn't necessarily mean he'd be a good cb, can imagine him giving a way a hell of a lot of fouls in dangerous positions. Would instantly become heavy favourite to get sent off, especially if he's trying to keep Suarez quiet. Plus the positioning and concentration is a whole different ball game. His mate was at a dinner/talk in or something with Pardew on Thursday and apparently anytime Tiote has an injury, before he classes himself as match-fit the club have to fly in Tiote's witch doctor to give him the all clear. This week, for some reason they couldn't get the Witch doctor over to him so Tiote was going to have to fly back to Africa to see him. Mike Ashley put on a private jet and Tiote was all ready for going but he gets a text on his phone (as he's about to board) from said Witch Doctor, turns to Pardew and say's "It's ok gaffer, I'm fit to play."
