Renton 27792
Such a shit show. Might make getting a hotel room in London easier/cheaper though I suppose. https://www.theguardian.com/education/2022/apr/16/40000-jobs-at-risk-as-foreign-pupils-shun-uk-language-schools-brexit-covid?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other

Renton 27792
Sefovic: Quote Unilateral action, effectively disapplying an international agreement such as the protocol, is simply not acceptable. This would undermine trust between the EU and UK as well as compromise our ultimate objective – to protect the Good Friday (Belfast) agreement in all its dimensions, while ensuring legal certainty and predictability for the people and businesses in Northern Ireland. Such unilateral action will also undermine the conditions which are essential for Northern Ireland to continue to have access to the EU single market for goods. If you take a step back, this really is insane. The UK was the country obsessed with its borders, but as we've seen in Dover, has decided not to enforce them and accept anything the EU exports, unchecked. How long it will take for this to trigger a WTO case against us, fuck knows. And now by sabotaging the NI protocol, a legally binding international agreement, we are actually trying to undermine the EU's borders. Is there nobody in the MSM, particularly the BBC, who will give an honest appraisal of this situation, or are we living in Russia? ewerk 39251
What was fucking unbelievable is the U.K. saying that they are justified in scrapping the protocol because of events like the bomb threat when Simon Coveney visited. It’s pretty much saying to terrorists, ‘keep going, it’s working’.

Look at Gove's coke inspired performance yesterday, look at some of the extreme rhetoric gushing from Patel's vile gob. I know this is red meat to the converted but it's not going to win them an election. Almost feels they are going to try and operate a scorched Earth policy here.
