That argument works both ways.

The influx of cheap labour benefitted “fat cat” types and was (IMO) to the detriment of ordinary people.

Yeah wages have gone up...that means inflation, everything goes up in price so no fucker who gets their hands dirty for a living still doesn't get ahead. I always earned more than my Polish colleagues because I was better qualified and they were unlikely to ever get good enough English and maths to get the qualifications to get ahead of me...some did and fair play to them but not many...

You mean apart from not stinking and saving money. Plus the long term health benefits.

Are you on glue?

Expand

i gave up 18 years ago and the first few months were shit. Hence using it as an example.

Can set our own tax rates to suit our situation. Can make independent trade deals with emerging economies. We were able to get a head start with the vaccines. Anything that doesn’t involve asking 27 other countries if it’s ok 🤷🏻‍♂️

I mean turning up, announcing that he'd voted Leave from France, and that he'd do it again (from France) given the chance, then blaming Remain and the media for weakening the negotiating position, unable to point to one tangible benefit of his vote, and bearing none of the myriad downsides....

This was your chance, in your own specialist subject, to absolutely roundhouse someone in the face. Opportunity missed.

France isn’t the property of the EU 🤷🏻‍♂️

Like the Australian one that fucks British farmers, cop26 and animal welfare?

Nothing stopped EU countries signing vaccine deals. The head start was mainly AZ which was more luck than judgement.

This argument sounds like a guy who’s trying to justify why some girl should sleep with him.

Not wanting to is reason enough.

Expand

It’s literally the opposite of that. Not sleeping with the girl is maintaining the status quo. Leaving the EU required a positive reason for doing so and as yet we’ve not seen one.

Oh aye, we can set our on tax rates on things like VAT. Maybe on something like fuel? Would come in handy during a fuel cost crisis…

Where are these deals with emerging economies and how many would we have to do in order to make up for tearing up a deal with a load of developed economies?

And as you well know, there was absolutely nothing stopping us from purchasing our own vaccines without the EU. As some EU countries did themselves.

So the country can vote in a government who would reduce it.

they are at liberty to do so now

the vaccine delays were all caused by eu infighting

Yeah, we also vote for MEPs. What’s your point?

I’m at liberty to leave my wife for a 20 stone munter. Doesn’t make it a sensible thing to do.

And as I said, we were under no compulsion to join the EU’s vaccine program.

MEPs aren’t as powerful as MPs.

They are more like figure heads.

Just like we don’t get to vote for the EU president.

You are welcome to want that obviously.

I genuinely cannot believe that this cunt is here shouting the odds when he should be hiding under a rock issuing muffled apologies.

A musician as well. Have you taken this show onto any UK musician forums to explain why it was the right decision for you to fuck their shit up from France?
