Royal baby boy.

The one thing that does confuse me though is that even though most people are generally pro-Royal family, I've not met a single person who would go wait outside a fucking hospital for them. Where do they come from?!

These arseholes have got fuck all to do while they wait to hear back on their Big Brother applications. Easy telly opportunity.

Royal baby will unite Britain, according to those getting ready to hate Lefties

July 23, 2013
Royal News: The baby born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge yesterday will bring Britain together, say newspaper commentators already preparing to publicly vilify anyone who doesn’t agree.

Journalists including Melanie Phillips, Kelvin McKenzie and the critically insane James Delingpole are touring the UK shouting that the whole nation has come together to cheer the birth of a future king while desperately searching for a left-wing republican they can start a fight with.

Peter Hitchens said: “Like any decent person, I was absolutely delighted to hear the news and poured myself a large brandy while frantically scanning the BBC’s coverage for any mark, however small, of disrespect.

“I didn’t get the goods there but thankfully I’d heard of something called Twitter, where I was outwardly horrified and inwardly absolutely delighted to see people who didn’t have exactly the same opinions I do. The column wrote itself.”

Media commentator Warren Hitch said: “It’s not easy getting excited about a baby you’ll never meet which will only be on stamps after you’re dead, so many people choose the easier option of working themselves up hating imaginary people who represent everything they loathe.”

“Ironically the only way they can truly feel a sense of patriotism and togetherness is by joining together in hatred of the other side. They’re a lot like Guardian readers in that respect.”

Aye, pathetic lickspittles. It's not until something like this that you find out how many of them there are. They've all been out the woodwork this past week. Witchell comfortably the worst of the lot, the fucking brownnosing twat.

So they ended up naming it George, the same name that he was always going to be called. The cynic in me suspects that they may have delayed the announcement of his name in order to maximise news coverage.

People slate the royals for being parasites but they are the least of our worries tbh...the amount the banking crisis has cost the country, businesses and invidual people makes a few hundred million a year look like chicken feed. You can't help who your folks are...having said that, it does need reforming. Thing is, most aristocrats are on huge state handouts/fiddles of one type or another. Make them all stand on their own two feet, its what the Daily Mail would want..

I'd put bankers, (Some should be in jail) and certain big business owners, (Tax thieves) ahead of the Royal family but they're still 'scrounging' off the state. I'm sure they're lovely people but so are so many poor bastards who are out of work/disabled/whatever but that doesn't stop the same Royal arselickers labelling them as 'scroungers', 'workshy' or worse.

Don't have an issue with the immediate family, it's the following cloud of Earls, Dukes and Viscounts that bother me.

I disagree, they are a huge part of the problem because of what they represent. Its still possible for anyone to become a banker, just about. But the royals epitomise a rigid class system where there is no real social mobility. I am the queen's subject rather than a citizen of my own country, and one day I will be the subject of her idiot son and his spawn. I honestly don't know how most people are happy with this shit in 2013.

I think they're a bunch of knobs but I'm not sure that it affects me that much from one day to the next whether I'm a subject of the queen or a citizen. The government, and the fact that we are forced to make a choice between two utter sacks of shit to run the country, is a much bigger problem.

I agree the principle of the set up is shite, but in reality its an irrlevence for the vast majority of the country. I went out with an Aussie bird for a while and we had this exact same argument. She wanted the Amarican system, where anyone born in the US could conceievably become the leading citizen. I frankly couldnt give a flying one what people's ambitions are, and as we can see from most ambitious politicians, theyre invairably utter twats. No thanks, and dont trust anyone with those sort of ambitions either. I really do think its a red herring that real/proper republicans have sort of fallen for. Unless we go down the Irish route and elect Bradley Wiggins as president? Again, largely an irrelevence and what sort of money would that cost us P.A.?

Aye, politics is fucked as well, and a large part of that is because of the media, who have a major role in the popularity of the monarchy. Kill the journalists first, then the politicians, then the monarchy. Sorted.

Still think its a real problem symbolically. The ultimate nepotism, and this country is fucking riddled with nepotism and cronyism. For all its flaws, at least the States has meritocracy at the heart of its system; this country hasn't. Has anyone here actually been at a social occasion with these aristocratic plums? I have, they really treat you as a completely inferior species. Which is ironic considering the extent of their inbreeding.

It may the value that they aspire to, but I don't believe the American ruling class has anything to do with meritocracy. Do you honestly believe that either of the Bush sons that took to politics could have acheived what they did without the support of Daddy and all his cronies?

No, of course I don't. Having meritocratic principles alone isn't enough because what you will end up with in a capitalistic society is an oligarchy or plutocracy. America is fucked because of their irrational hatred of socialism and bizarre belief in Christianity. I'd still rather this country adopted the good parts of it though.

I'd definitely want to see a more egalitarian system, however the evils of media and cronieism(sp?) in American politics stick in my craw. I also think the you need a multi-party state, when it's just the Donkey and the Elephant butting heads over the same subjects every election it serves nobody.

To be honest, iyam all thats about how you feel about yourself to large extent. There are people in life I respect enormously, but in a very modest way I dont really feel inferior to anyone and laugh at those with delusions of grandeur, or actual grandeur itself. Am sure almost all of us are the same, so am not sure why you feel strongly about it. I'm lucky emough to have good relations with my now fairly elderly parents, and as long as I have their love, respect and support then I couldnt give a fuck what anyone else thinks. The Duke of Roxburghe virtually owns the village I was brought up in and often mixes with the plebs, attends christmas do's, funerals of his tenants etc and is considered a good egg. Cunt still expects to be called "your grace" mind, so I dont speak to the fucker. He doesnt bother with me so I dont bother with him.
