So the consensus is most folk have been to a casino at least once. Shitter eh HMHM ;)

Just wanted a consensus, mate. Although 43% is less than half of 90%. I've ended up paying a lot more for a big job I'm getting done in my house. That was a shitter. Anything in this thread isn't a shitter. :D

Aspers did 2 for 1 on all drinks when it first opened before Saturday games. Loved it, but it didnt tempt enough utter piss heads to the roulette wheel so it was dropped after half a season or so :(

I kept winning about a fiver on it and thought I was ace... But it's so easy to end up a few hundred down. Complete bullshit really because you end up down in the end.

Envious of people who've been Vegas though, bet that's amazing.

I walked through every major casino in Vegas without placing a bet. Don't see the attraction of handing my cash to someone with a fraction of a chance of getting it back based upon a random event.

Matt Goes was canny though :D

So what you're saying is "I Owe You Nothing" was the overriding theme of the trip.

The most disappointing thing about Vegas for me was the gambling. All the decent sized casinos on the strip were running a $25 minimum bet on their blackjack tables. I enjoy a bit of blackjack but only for a bit of fun, I don't want to play it with the risk of being $200 down within 10 minutes.

Thankfully downtown had a load of smaller casinos that had $5 minimums.

I have absolutely no desire to go to Vegas whatsoever not even 'so I can say I've been' I know I would absolutely hate it.

Re: the casino question - Been to Aspers twice. Once after a match with the lads and once at the end of a date cos it was the only place left open. Didn't gamble either time.

The wife and I thought the same. I wanted to go just so I could tick it off the list really but ended up loving the place and going back every time I visited my brother in LA.

It's like Disneyland for adults.

Its good for 3 nights. Any more than that you're struggling - step out the lift and the clang clang of slots and all that gets a bit too much. I've got a mate that goes back for 2 weeks every year with his wife. Fuck that.

The accommodation is great value in Vegas. I didn't gamble at all when there. Could have easily spent the whole time in our suite, but also wanted to see some of the many shows that are on.

I've actually considered living there, but mainly so I could keep an assault rifle under my pillow

Caesars does $10 tables. The little Irish casino opposite had $5 tables too but they have been shut down now to make way for some billion dollar shopping centre/casino

My mates spent most of the night on the 1c slot machines to take advantage of the 'free drinks whilst you play' rule. They went trough about $100 worth of alcohol sticking a $5 note in the machine
