You're right actually they are well gassy, its probably why I only have a couple at most and feel full. I had an evening a few weeks ago where I had 5-6 of them. I was like a fucking balloon being sent round the room overnight Definitely low doses on that one.

Are you on about Lucky Saint? If so, tried that and it's good however it's unbelievably gassy and plays havoc with me Quite like Perroni. Agree about Guinness zero. Anyone know any AF ciders? No, not apple juice. 🙂 I tend to be the designated driver.

Meenzer 17990
5 hours ago, Craig said: Back to the AF stuff, there's a hole in the market IMO about the discovery of what is out there - if they did an equivalent of a beer club for AF stuff where you subscribe and are sent x amount of beers per month to sample, I think the acceptance of AF would be far better. I've ordered from https://drydrinker.com several times - you can build your own mixed case and they've got a ridiculous range, including lots of foreign stuff. A decent number are showing as unavailable but of what they've currently got in stock, there's plenty of lagers if that's your preference. Though if you can get friendly with pale ales (and the alcohol-free ones are easier going anyway) then that widens your scope massively. Of the more commonly found 0% lagers (i.e. decent pubs or Waitrose-level supermarkets), Brooklyn Special Effects is probably my go-to. I find Days to be a bit easier than Lucky Saint, although the fact that some pubs even have the latter on tap now is kind of amazing compared with how things were a decade ago. Corona Cero is fine for something that tastes like holidays, too. Whereas I keep assuming I'll like the 0% Asahi and never actually do.
Craig 12329
Love a pale ale so will definitely give that a good - cheers Martin. When I was at Wimbledon I had 0% Wife Beater which was actually good! My main issue with the lagers is they lack depth - the pale ales might give me a bit more. Lucky saint is on draft at my local hence me going with it but probably need to find a better alternative. Will give that website a look too. Cheers
Meenzer 17990
Oh you're definitely on good territory there then. Anything from Big Drop or Mikkeler gets my vote right away. I'd say Beavertown Lazer Crush is decent enough among the high street ones too. Alcohol-free Leffe is surprisingly nice as a drink too, as long as you accept it's not going to feel like the real deal.
Craig 12329
My biggest issue to overcome is red wine. I can deal with AF beer but I love my red wine and AF wine just doesn't cut it. I want to try this one as it has rave reviews but getting a hold of it in the UK appears challenging! Leonis Blend - Zeronimo Wine

I always had a decent bottle of Chateauneuf on my Mam's birthday to celebrate with her. If this stuff tastes OK, I'll be hoping to replace it with that. Meenzer 17990
I've never found one that I liked yet so if you do shell out for that one eventually, report back! Whereas AF "spirits" are definitely getting there - anything with a bit of bitterness in the flavour profile will always work well even without the booze tbh. Crodino has been my go-to drink for ages, and Martini Floreale and tonic is delightful as an aperitif. 1
wykikitoon 28488
We have these actually. They're great for AF Gin. https://newlondonlight.com/

When LIDL do their Italian weeks they do a couple of versions (one is amber coloured and the other is ‘Rosso’) that are Italian bitter alcohol free aperitifs and are very similar to Crodino. In 6 packs of the same little glass bottles
Ayatollah Hermione 17233
I’ve made a bit of a pledge to drink AF gear in the house if I fancy a couple of bottles when I’m watching the match so this has all been genuinely helpful. For a change.
Howmanheyman 43837
Becks alcohol free isn't bad if you can get a hold of it for lager/pilsner, not as close to the real stuff as the Guinness is but it's far better than the old AF lagers from a few years ago.

However, he says this wouldn't explain my symptoms, he's going to get an opinion from a neurosurgeon but other than that, carry on regardless. Soooo, it must just be superpowers after all then. I knew it all along tbh. Fluid lakes ?? Sounds Eerie mate. Glad you're getting some progress though. 1

Been largely plain sailing, there was only one point in the month where I found it quite difficult.
