Terrorism

If you told someone "right, come up with a person who embodies the very worst of Britain", it would be that human shitstain, Godfrey Bloom. He is every shitty fucking stereotype of an old, shriveled, Empire-loving, England for the English racist provincial cunt. He isn't even a Tory. The Tories don't want him. The fucking UKIP don't want him. Nobody could stand to be around him for more than 10 seconds, because he'll spend half of it breathing Carling fumes in your face (leering down your shirt if you are a woman) and the other half going on about "the war."

The police don't decide who gets released from prison.

And if he'd served his full sentence then he probably would have done the same thing on release. What needs to be looked at is what is being done while they're in prison to de-radicalise those convicted of terror offences and how it can be improved.

Yep. 100%.

But because that looks like we're being "soft", people don't go for it. What's needed instead is to lock them up forever, or better yet, have them shot.

It's this basic inability to properly appraise facts and reality that leaves us so exposed in so many areas.

Which the prison service has already said they can't do due to budget cuts.

But instead of addressing that the government will just chuck out life sentences to anyone with a sniff of extremism about them instead. They've already spun it this morning to be the fault of the legal system on this country. You know, the one they've been in charge of for 9 years. The Brexit idiots lap it up though

While I agree with you in principle we’re that far away from that in terms of our prison system I think locking them up and throwing away the key is about the closest possible thing to a sensible option. But we won’t even get that. There’ll be a load of bluster and little else because the daft cunts who moan the most about it are the last ones willing to pay for it

The tweet replies to that post show why were fucked IMO. No one cares about truths or facts anymore - each individual comes up with their own bullshit about why something has happened, in this case exonerating Johnson, irrespective of how insane their point is.

I don't know what we're supposed to do about these people, seriously. I really struggle to have any respect for people who lie to themselves and then poison the well for everyone else.

The Tories have presided over pretty much everything that a lot of those who vote for them claim is what is wrong with this country. Seduced by a combination of propaganda and income tax cuts.
