Cairn Gorms are a proper wilderness but for my money the West side is much better. Trossachs, Glen Coe, Mamores, Nevis range, Torridon, Ullapool. Best scenery on the planet.

My wife went to Stirling Uni so we would be going via Stirling so I can visit that. Her uni grounds look stunning. 

 

Sept is a good shout actually. I don't mind wet weather at all or tbh the cold. It's the midgies I don't like 😂
