With Brighton's 3-0 win over the Hammers it puts them even on points with us but behind on goal difference,  but not far.

There are 3 other teams below us who can overtake us if we lose against Palace and all three win their games.

You’re right. It’s a catastrophe. We should be pushing for top 4 given the massive investment in the summer.

Howay man Noelle, you’re slipping into CT territory here. Rafa is working miracles on the pitch and we might even be on the verge of seeing off the FCB. Get with the programme. These are good times for us.

Everyone thinks Brighton, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Burnley, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace will be the teams who will be battling to avoid relegation.

This may still be true but West Ham, Stoke, Swansea and maybe even Leicester and  Everton could be sucked into it.

Either way it's 3 from 11 who will go down not 3 from the 5 or 6 pre season favs.

I'm hopeful but not confident will we be safe the season.

HOWAY THE FUCKING LADS !

We wont be near the bottom three. That’s obvious from performances so far. The first two games aside, we’ve been impressive.

Reckon those 11 or so teams, which we’re a part of, are all going to take points off each other through the season. No chance we’ll go on the kind of nightmare run that would see us tumble right to the bottom though, not with Rafa. Unless the injury record gets dramatically worse which seems unlikely considering that’s massively improved since he arrived.

Silva’s Watford look class today. Could easily be 3-1 up away at Chelsea.

They lost their nerve and Chelsea lifted.

London 9 Liverpool 3 for today

Also this @ Wembley which is probably in the top 5 attendances for a league game in Britain since professional football has existed: 80,827

 Aye bad day for the scousers.

I think I heard the commentator say it was a PL record attendance and 2nd highest for an English top flight match.

That Lovren was a fucking nightmare mind, subbed after half an hour . I wonder if this Alli and Kane will be the ones we see play for England in Russia...

I quite like Klopp, as in the way he comes across and conducts himself, but doesn't look like he's going to be the "one" to make the micky mousers great again..

Players shoulder some of the blame, but there's a fundamental problem with the way he sets his team up defensively.  Too often his centre backs do t seem to know what they should do, or where they should be. Midfield isn't helping them out either.

True. Surprised at it though because Klopp  was known for his well drilled pressing game, defend as a unit, attack as a unit .. maybe the players aren't the right ones for the system. But he's had long enough now to get the right personnel
