Re: Giggs, I suppose he played in an era where almost all sides in England played 4-4-2 for most of his career. Man Utd under Ferguson did and by the time they didn't Giggs was a central midfielder. Look at England's reasonable midfielders, not greats like Gazza or Bryan Robson. He only ever played for England schoolboys which falls under the ESFA rather than the FA. To play for England schoolboys you need to go to an English school rather than being English I think.
