Dr Gloom 26353
It was workmanlike victory. Much better in the second half. First half was mostly awful after the first 5-10 mins

As for the game England were pretty fortunate with the deflection and Belgium seemingly taking the foot of the gas a bit in the second half. Although I might be being a bit unfair in terms of putting Belgium's relatively poor second half mostly down to them instead of England fighting their way back into it. Not sure how those two opposing things balanced out exactly. England were much improved second half, but agree Belgium were poor. I think that Belgian defence was a bit crap personnel wise which likely helped as well.

Howay 12496
I love that there are still some sniveling wankers out there defending this whole thing simply because of the part about a loan to the EFL. For the journalists that are defending it I really hope it’s just from a WUM/attempt to farm clicks angle.

Polarboy 2770
The thing I find most amusing about this is that a lot of Liverpool fans like to see the club as having a socialist tradition, that still lives on albeit compromised by the realities of having to compete in the Premier League. If those same fans aren't fuming about what their owners are attempting to do by affectively pulling up the ladder behind them, then their principles weren't worth very much were they.

It's got fuck all to do with their fans just like Saudi actions has fuck all to do with NUFC fans if they were to take us over. The cunts in charge of the game, it's all on them and you can go back to before the PL started.

I said that IF the Liverpool fans with the red roses in their twitter bio's aren't totally against it then they're hypocrites.

Because a club having a socialist tradition, that a number of their fans love to bang on about despite how ridiculous that is if you're a Premier League club, juxtaposed with the club trying create a permanent monopoly is amusing, as I said in the original post. Howmanheyman 43933
Alright then. I used to think that certain clubs had a certain type of fanbase including our own but the truth of the matter is every club has cretins following them, some good folk and some will talk absolute fucking rhubarb. Liverpool fans collectively being expected to slag their club is as unrealistic as Collymore making on most NUFC fans had Saudi flags in their social media profiles. NUFC is a fucking awful club right now and it's not because of you or me, Liverpool would've been one of the movers for the premier League to be formed and nothing has changed. They praise their own fans and backed some efforts over Hillsborough etc which of course they would, Shankley, Klopp and Paisley etc might well have been men of the people and good socialist men but Liverpool, like all clubs, are only interested in their own club's interests.
Polarboy 2770
Again where did I say that their fanbase had to collectively criticise the Liverpool owners/decision makers? I think I was pretty clear that it's the ones that refer to each other as comrades that I was talking about. If you are that committed to an ideology, but there isn't a peep out of you about what the owners of your club are currently trying to do, then that's quite a blind spot. And there probably has been criticism from Liverpool fans who call themselves socialists, but once again I find the potential hypocrisy of not even mentioning it or indeed being in favour of it were you of that persuasion funny. There wasn’t many NUFC supporters disgusted by the potential takeover of their club by one of the worst regimes on the planet. Those that did and raised their head above the social media parapet were fuckin annhilated by fellow Mags. We, as a fan base, are in no position to look down our noses at any clubs fans who welcome this new fuckin nonsense from Man U & Liverpool. They’ll be on their own forums pissing themselves laughing at the fume this move has caused, just like we were.
