We're all so wrapped up in Burley's cancer news that we've neglected to notice Wyki's very obvious stroke.

Spurs need their "Big 6" membership revoking, and Man Utd won't be far behind them.

Ours and Villas form isn't a flash in the pan, despite PSR doing its best to cripple both teams.

That poor bloke walking around on fire is just horrific.

It does seem to be the forgotten football disaster

It was absolutely horrific, I've seen the clip of John Helm commentating on it a few times and it never gets easier to view.

It definitely was overshadowed by what happened at Heysel later that month and then Hillsborough 4 years later. What gets overlooked IMO is the death of Ian Hambridge at St Andrews on the same day. Was at his first match if I remember right.

Goodison Park no longer to be demolished - they're going to make it the permanent home of Everton's women's team.

At least the quality of football will improve.

Giving a women’s side, who currently average 2,000 at the gate, a 40,000 seater stadium doesn’t seem that clever to me.

Given how it's an absolute dump, I strongly suspect the demolition costs far outweigh the running costs.

The Forest striker Awoniyi who rammed into the post in their last match has been placed in an induced coma. Must have cracked a bunch of ribs or something. Not anything life threatening according to the news but still a serious injury it seems. Poor lad.

It isn’t ribs. He’s obviously perforated or torn something when he’s collided with the goal. Possibly bowel/spleen/liver and may have had internal bleeding since. It’s normal to keep someone under anaesthetic in critical care after emergency abdominal surgery and it tends to be for the first 24hrs and then they’ll wake him. It’ll be a long recovery though. Wishing him the best.
