I'm usually the first to defend his team selections but leaving Shelvey out and in particular Lascelles is fucking bizarre behaviour. You'd think we'd been defending well in his absence and that he needs to force his way back in.

It is what it is, let's not worry overly. Still plenty of the season ahead, plenty of time to strengthen in January. Ashley isn't going to risk us going down.

Or maybe he’s just not fully fit?

Still no excuse for not starting Mitro, Shelvey or Atsu. It’s not like we’ve been playing well without them.

Let's not worry? Have you seen their form?

He isn't going to more than double our transfer record to bring in a capable striker. Which is the absolute minimum one will cost.

Aye, if there’s one thing we know about Ashley it’s that he recognises the need to invest.

What a pack of cunts man

How many times did we have men over on them in the box only for our player to fall over or run straight into someone. First XI is packed full of championship players

He's selling though. Different this time I would think.

He should get in that back line half fit. Even if he didn't see the game out, fucking hell. When was our last clean sheet?

If there’s a chance of the injury recurring then there’s no sense in risking him unless we’re forced into it.

It costs him money every time we’re relegated regardless if we’re up for sale. There will be money to spend in January but none of it is coming out of Ashley’s pocket or being externally financed.

It is what it is then I guess. Still don't think we'll go down though.

This Clark/Lejeune partnership just isn't working. It's need shot.

They are shocking together, both of them have zero confidence and have lost their head. Lejeune's best quality is his composure and he's lost it. Switching off and giving stupid fouls away all over. Clark definitely needs dropped, he's had a nightmare month.

Can't see why he'd make the bench ahead of Mbemba if that was the case.
