Fara Williams comes across as completely clueless when on tv she just repeats the same old shite and can’t pronounce her Rs….I’m sure she has a prompt sheet with all of John Motson / Alan Green / Jim Beglin etc football cliches

I don’t think we were ever that bothered, just agent talk to get him a move.

Still suspect Trafford will sign but likely spend the season at Burnley if he’s going to be first choice there.

Part ex with Pope makes more sense. Dubravka as 2nd choice and Fraser/Krul in as 3rd choice

Disagree, Trafford wasn’t ready for the prem last time he played in it. Really risky to go into the season with him as first choice.

A season on loan playing regularly in the prem would do him wonders.

He played behind a porous Burnley back four though. I think he had the most clean sheets in the championship last season. Might be ready to start in the PL with our defence in front of him. I wouldn’t expect him to start straight away were be to sign. Howe rarely throws young lads in straight away.

You're saying the same thing he was, ie he won't be our number one from day 1 (and therefore Pope can't go in the opposite direction).

Thanks, thought I was going mental there

Not only did he have the most clean sheets last season, he broke the record and had an 85%ish save percentage which is elite.

I still wouldn’t bring him in as first choice.

He was 20 at the start of their last PL season iirc. He's been hands down the best GK in the championship this season, and is in the England squad ahead of Pope. If we sign him for £30m, then he's coming in as No.1

Ah, might have misread that. I replied thinking  he was suggesting buying him then sending him on loan. I think he’d be ready to start games straight away. Whether Eddie thinks that or not remains to be seen
