Excited that we are in contract talks for renewals with Wilson, Ruddy and Gillespie.

Correction. We've already extended Gillespies contract. Just got to hope Ruddy agrees to re-sign so he can join Pope, Dubravka and Vlad. Before we get Forster in for the CL squad and then sign Trafford.

WTF man

Another enquiry made for Elanga according to Hope. I think he’d be a very good signing and is tailor made for an Eddie Howe team but in a PSR world, I question the wisdom of paying £50 million for him. I felt the same with Guehi for £65 million last year too. Seems ridiculous to complain about PSR headroom every year and exclusively shop in the most expensive market

I know we wont and I know why but part of me does want us to go for something stupid.

Every club that got the big fancy new owners did it at some point, the big signing that sort of worked sort of didn't. You can't do it now but I want our Robinho or Mutu.

Where would that be in this team? As in which position. It's tough not to upset the balance of the team too much, that player has to be an exciting one. I guess that really only leaves RW or a change in formation to accommodate Isak and the incoming player in a FWD/CAM role which would.make it tough to accommodate Bruno, Tonali and Joelinton in midfield.

Those details aren't relevant for trophy signings. 🙂

Should have gone for Messi. 👍

Can he play RCB? Or in goal? 🙂

It's allowed, yes.

The fact that we have two other National Team Swedish players has to help somewhat with deciding where to go. I don't think he's a £50m player though. More around the £30-40m mark. I suppose it also depends on the wage requirements.

That is a surprisingly disappointing list of players, none of them are bonkers enough.

Maybe Arda Guler, young, almost definitely wouldn't thrive in the PL, has the real madrid and "performed well in an international tournament" cred to bring in.

Sancho?
That has been eddified?

Cheeky loan plus option to buy if he’s willing to drop wages to get his career back on track?

There it is! Only ever performed overseas, huge wages and price tags following him around, known to have a bad attitude.

Its PERFECT!

I think Elanga is immense. Gives us the pace we need on the right

agreed. I think there are better technical wingers out there but he looks exactly the sort of player Howe likes - young, pace, power, athleticism - and I’m sure he’s one Howe could improve.

shame our late bid for him last summer wasn’t accepted as his price has probably gone up by £20m after the season he’s just had.

Wasn't his lack of willingness to drop wages the reason that he left Chelsea to go back to Manchester Reds (we are the only team that should be associated with the name United).

It is, but unless a Saudi move comes up he's got no football ahead of him next season if that doesn't change.

No one will keep him on his man u wages.

I wonder if that actually matters to him.

It depends on what people have said to him or how he views the whole situation.

Some footballers would want to play and achieve something and others will just see it as a job where they will want to make as much money as possible and it is not their fault if their boss is an idiot.
