We were told by cunts in the media Trafford wasn't far off. Now Douglas is saying 'hopefully next week' it was supposed to be this week  player wants to come. Stop fucking low balling them.

Stop believing everything you read from football journos in the silly season man. They're just cycling through ways to get you to click on the links/tune int' t' wireless.

Trafford has been rumbling on for ages and it's probably as much to do with Burnley getting a replacement as anything else, which means waiting for the other team to get in a replacement for their 'keeper and so on.

Yes, it's frustrating that we've not yet been able to announce the signing of a raft of new players, and yes we really need the club to be more agile before and during the windows. That's a criticism that ultimately falls at the feet of the ownership. They should have had a replacement CEO by now, Eales has been one foot out of the door since the announcement of his illness. Mitchell was a misstep, no doubt, but it comes hot on the heels of Ashworth's unexpected departure so perhaps less due dilligence was done at the time?

Either way, we will sign some players, we will likely be competing for the CL spots once more, and we've still got a very strong first team. Howe has us playing very good football. Oh and while he may get frustrated by the slow movement in the transfer window, he's still got way more control here than he would do at other clubs, he's got an excellent group of players to work with, his pick of staff below him, and the love of the fans. He's not going anywhere.

You all need to fucking relax.

On this point, I was watching the Geordie Journos thing last week and they were saying that because their business is so heavily linked to ad revenue, they have to write 10 (TEN) stories per day.

Which is why Newcastle World are the biggest bellends going for misleading clickbaity headlines. And why you shouldn't be reading any of the shite that gets written on there.

Aside from paywalls, I don't know what the answer is to that. Even then, I've noticed how much shit the Athletic churns out and I can only assume it is trying to claw more money from ad revenue?

I agree with the first team strength, BUT, we have an ageing CB pairing at the moment.  That needs addressing.  We have Isak and Wheelchair Wilson.

We will sign players, but when you have Howe like has been said saying he wants speed and then this glacial movement.  We sound like we are low balling all over.  Fine, that's part of negotiating, you don't do a Ridsdale and steam in with ridiculous offers, but we have to learn after the Guehi situation last year.

Are we low balling though? How much is Mbeumo really worth? or Pedro, or Elanga? Is Mbeumo really worth more than £65m? Is Joao Pedro worth whatever Chelsea are paying him as wages? Is Elanga worth £45m+?

My only issue with the Geuhi saga was that we didn't walk away earlier.

So here is the other thing I heard the other day. First was Howe being described as sounding quite low. Then I heard "Mitchell" and "don't know if I'm just being paranoid but sounds to me like sabotage of a transfer deal".

Uesless info really cos we're never going to know exactly what was being spoken about, but speculate away!

Tbf the whole joke of the series was that the jokes and behaviours were dated back then, so it’s probably fine
