Arguably this situation is to a decent extent the product of too much focus on the "narrative" and not enough attention given on actually fuckin' doing something. Eventually, the "narrative" becomes just that: empty words. In my books, it is time for action. I can sympathize with the sentiment because there are certainly extenuating circumstances but I think we're beyond placating the masses with empty platitudes about ambition and blah blah blah.
