It's not confirmed either way, I thought it may have been that the player group is not yet ready for Isak to return. Howe would like him to be back but it's not time yet, he has to do his time before being allowed to train together.

If Isak is refusing to train what a turbo cunt move that is with 3 years to run on a contract.

it feels like when your loyal yet slightly hotter wife cheats on you.

Here’s the actual press conference, you can make up your own mind.

Let's have a poll to establish TT consensus view. Go on @ewerk

It’s probably both parties choice. It sounds like Isak is digging his heels in and is adamant he is leaving. Eddie won’t have that.

If it’s Isak being the cunt then let him rot for the season. Yeah it’ll reduce his selling value but it’ll also fuck his World Cup and won’t strengthen the bin dipping toasters. The latter alone must be worth the £20m it’ll knock off his price.

Let’s face it, we won’t get £150m for him. Most likely be £120m now. So season dicking about on his own, torpedoing his career then flog the cunt for £100m.

if money wasn’t a factor then I would love to do this but we are sitting on a huge asset and no matter how stubborn we’d like to be, eventually he’ll just have to be sold.

How is too logical and professional to be driven by spite like that. If he's not sold Howe will reintegrate him with the team, before having to do similar again in January depending on the table at that point in time.

Good old Geordie Journos re the stadium etc. that seems to be the most important bit form some of our fans rather than having a decent squad that can compete. Clueless that takes years to get off the ground before they've even started on site

Bin dipping toasters?

Aye, it’s a new insult I’m working on. It’s like ‘tossers’ only 10x worse.

I can see it catching on with all the cool kids (or those with iOS 26 autocorrect)

So is the takeaway from Howes comments that Isak is on strike?

That would be my guess. The alternative is that Howe has told him to train away from the main squad if he’s not committed to the club.

I can think of a couple of reasons why Isak might not work in Liverpool's team...

1. Salah...if we accept that Isak's chief creator has been Jacob Murphy can AI expect the same level of service from someone who looks to score at almost every opportunity when he cuts in off his wing?

2. The apparent intention to play Etikike on the left to replace Diaz. That's the channel Isak regularly drifts into and with Etikike a centre forward by trade it's logical to suggest that they're both at times going to be looking to occupy the same space..

He was on strike when he didn't go to Korea. He's turning up for training now albeit away from the rest of the first team squad. But Howe is choosing not to include him in the match day squad. He might have to go through the formality of club discipline ie fined for not turning up for the plane. Howe covered for him up to that point (post Celtic) and all the way through the tour. That's obviously now ended. Good, no point keeping the fucker let's move on..for the right money obviously...

Snapped in training would not be a good look.

Pisses me off that those bin dipping “toasters”™️ have effectively fucked the start of our season. The fact the transfer window doesn’t shut until Sept 1st does us no favours in this situation as those cunts will be “monitoring the situation” right up to the end of the window, meaning there’s no way he’ll be integrated back in the squad until after that date.

Just hope we smash the cunts in our first home game (and fuck Ekitike’s season by way of retort).
