This is all about how he exits, and what the ramifications of it downstream are, IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if the club are now exploring their legal options. I also wouldn't be surprised if they have a dogged determination to ensure he fails to come out of this with his desired outcome (i.e. a transfer to Liverpool this window).
