The "Liverpool smash the British record fee" narrative is fucking hilarious, mind. They've paid £10m more than the previous record, and considering the two fees £10m is barely fucking material.

Suppose it works to suit the pro Scouse cunt narrative than "Liverpool pay £20m more than they wanted to for a player they intentionally unsettled."

who wrote that then?

'nobody comes out of this with any credit'

but completely fails to mention the murderers at all.

It does mention them.

That could be because he only wanted Liverpool.

Not sure if you’re being serious but I doubt that is actually the case in many circumstances and it’s more about money

They're one and the same. Liverpool know Sala is pretty much on the decline. After an incredible opening to the season last year he tapered off as the season went on (2 goals in his last 9 of the season), but they had to extend his contract after that season. They're hoping that Isak will replace him as the prime goal scorer in the team. I can see Sala going somewhere for an even bigger salary after this season or else he'll be nothing more than a part player substitute.

I was. That was Romano’s tag line throughout the summer. Liverpool and Isaks agent clearly engineered this and have been in control of the transfer since day 1.

Thats not to say (eg) Chelsea didn’t want to bid for him (and money does talk) but clearly he had eyes for Liverpool.

Fuck me.  I know I go off at times but some of you lot man

How the fuck do you think it would have played out if we had kept him?  Like I said the other day, the reintegration wasn't as simple as some people think.  It may have been easier player side as they know the full SP behind closed doors.  They are closer to Isak etc.  But the fans, nah.  The whole 'as soon as he scores its all forgotten'  Aye in that very split moment the ball hits the net, but that after taste.  Nah.  The hardcore fans like PL who travel up and down the country have shown at bellend rd and Villa Park what we think of the cunt.

He needed to go.  This was, IMO inevitable.  And I am glad the cunts gone.  We can put a line under it and move on.  It's been an exhausting window for us.  How do you think the players and staff feel?

Him going to Liverpool is a hard pill to swallow, but I don't see it as us bending over.  We got a fair fee for the cunt.  But does it hand them the title?  I don't think so.  They have a dog shit defence and £115m for Wirtz, he looks lightweight and not fit for the Prem.  But it's early days for the latter.  Salah is on his way out.  Virgin is on his way out.  They have spent a fuck load this summer so I can see them having restrictions next couple of windows on spend as a result.

What's a bigger worry IMO is we seemingly don't have another striker yet.

Robbed by scousers… there’s a shock.

Im with Craig on this mind, this was the only realistic outcome, no matter how much of a shitty taste it leaves.

I also think that Howe will have had an influence in getting him out.

Why leave a shit in the floor, stinking up the place when someone is willing to pay to take it away.

The entire thing has been a shitshow from start to finish, but if blame is to laid anywhere, it’s at the feet of the player and the Hockle merchants on the Mersey.

Our club’s executive failings haven’t helped, but they certainly didn’t engineer this cunt’s departure.

It would be petty and vindictive of me to actually wish physical harm on Isak…

… so, aye, I hope he has a career ending injury on his debut for the Wall Pushers and never plays again.

Anyway… he’s gone, fuck him, who are we getting today?

so who is your prediction for the next player the murderers will decide they can take on the cheap, whenever they fancy and with only pitiful resistance from the owners?

tobali?

livramento?

hall?

gordon?

mebbees the new kid if he has a decent season?

don't get too attached to any fucker, we had every opportunity to tell them to fuck off and failed. we're still very much a feeder club.

That pre-supposes those named have similar characters to the snake, which does them some disservice IMO.

What this cunts done is unprecedented outside a very very few.

no it doesn't.

they've been taking our best players at will since the 70s. they're doing it again today.

we've given them absolutely fuck all reason to think they won't be able to do exactly the same again in the future, whichever method they want to adopt.

It'd be like splitting up with the missus, having the opportunity to buy her out of the mortgage but going "nah, get yourself in the spare room".

Helps no-one in the long run - least of all you. Head ruling heart - we're well rid. Clean break and move on.

My primary irritation is he's getting what he wants after acting like a complete cunt - doesn't feel right, but we'd lose out as well if we tried to hold him to account on that. The fucking PL should be looking to do something to discourage this abhorrent behaviour, mind you.

Yeah agree with this. Putting Isak in the same frame as other players who've made the journey from Tyneside to Merseyside isn't accurate.

Yeah I know. Realise that was futile rhetoric. It's just fucking disgusting that a player can act like that and get his desires. He and his agent must be pissing themselves laughing, the cunts.

Nasty Saudis tapping up poor innocent Liverpool player who had to down tools because of our horrid antics.

Tbf Isak will have just cause for fearing his safety when he pulls this shit in 18 months for a move to Real Madrid.

If his career goes the way I'm hoping it will, he'll be lucky if Real Sociedad wants him back in 18 months time.
