Eddie’s stronger squad, which will bounce back after a turgid game against Leeds with the new Crouch and Defoe, vs Wolves

Big Joe is back isn't he? The front 6 picks itself for me:

Bruno - Tonali - Joelinton
Elanga - Voldermort - Barnes

Not sure where this shite about Howe taking ages to play anyone comes from. Tonali, Isak and Botman all went straight in and you can extend that to Elanga who came right in ahead of Murphy who was off the back of a good season. Woltemade will play because he has to. We’ve had nothing up front for the first three games, man

So is Osula or Woltemade a striker? Osula wasn't mentioned at all when we were selling 14, and Eddie seemed to suggest big Nick isn't one either.

The last time we faced Barca, we had an unorthodox forward who seemed to do pretty well. We can only hope...

Doesn't sound like a major issue for Wissa. He's "feeling the effects of the injury he sustained before coming off". Sounds like this game has just come slightly too quickly rather than it being a proper injury.

apparently Howe said he has to see a specialist.

That should start at his quote about Wissa's injury. He didn't mention a specialist the rest of the press conference, so unless he said it after I'm not sure where that's come from?

I didn’t watch the press conference. Just saw this on insta. no direct quote. Dunno where they got it from

Yeah I don't think that's accurate. You can watch the press conference if you like but the only time I can recall Wissa's fitness being discussed was in response to that question, and you can hear he never mentions a specialist.

Howe basically said he had no idea how long he will be out for.  As in it could be a couple of days, it could be weeks.  That will be taken as he's possibly going to miss months but the reality is he was just saying he didn't know what the problem is.  He certainly didn't seem down about it.  I thought throughout the conference he seemed much more upbeat than in recent ones.

Aye I'd agree with that. It's why I didn't understand the comments about a specialist (which I obviously missed) cos there didn't seem any despair from Howe. Based on the tone of the press conference, I think he'll be getting it checked to confirm it's nowt serious.

Hope says the information/noises that he's getting on Wissa remain positive and that he has a chance to play v Barcelona. With a caveat that this might be the player being positive.

Howe says on about 28min in the press conference that it's a knee injury but they don't know anything beyond that at the moment.

Maybe he got a bump to it and they can't figure out if it's more than that? Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.
