Eddie Howe with a Hat-trick to shut us Whinging bastards the fuck up, and Mad Dog from the side-line with a brace to back the Gaffer up.

Big Dan Burn to score a sneaky equaliser whilst wearing his Big Dick Nick wig.

Not necessarily this exact team, but a change in formation is due to better allow width but with some inherent protection of our defense. Frees up some space in the centee with Wolte able to feed back to Tonali or Bruno, out to Barnes or Joelinton or through to Gordon (Barnes or Elanga could also be options at the top prior to Wissa’s return). We don't really have an option to play on the right of midfield who can defend, so that could be Murphy or Barnes or Elange there depending on who you play up front. I also think that Miley could feature against City, but don't know how you fit him into this side. There's enough time and motivation to try something new and unexpected. It would be great to have Livramento back obviously.

The players will get themselves up for this. We're at home. Hall will start. All positives.

Our 3rd 1-3 loss in a row.

If we can't get anything out of West Ham & Brentford, we're definitely not getting anything out of Man City.

0-2

Gordon up top based on what?

Availability, but it could be Gordon, Barnes or Elanga. Went with Gordon because he's the fastest of the ball.

While that may be true I'm looking forward to this a lot more than playing the likes of Brighton or Brentford. We've always given these a good game under Howe and with nobody expecting to win hopefully it takes a bit of pressure off the players and they try and enjoy their football a bit.

I envy you that you've managed to erase the 0-4 last season and the 0-2 in the fa cup the season before from your memory.

I fucking haven't!

edit...

shit, there was also the 0-4 and 0-5s in 21/22 too.  :(

I'd rather see Ramsey on the left. Joe needs to be dropped.

I would have said the same but Ramsey did nothing against Brentford and Joelinton still does a lot of defensive work in breaking up play. Joe does need a rest though.

Is that defensive for the opposition? Because the amount of time this season he's given the ball away seems so.

But in general yes I would agree. He's been immense the last few seasons. That's why this quick drop off I think he's carrying an injury.

It's the hope that kills you.

I'm electing for the 'expect fuck all and I won't be disappointed' approach.

Hello people, been awhile. i was in my 50s last time i was here.

Should be fun at the weekend. Oddly enough your new fella looks better in front of goal than the old guy, whatever he was called. Dare i say it more like Haaland lite.

No Isak, no KDB it's a new dawn.
