I completed my run too. Then drove home with a broken bone. Tbf i didn't realise it was broken until i went to hospital the next day. Seems you can't run everything off.

We need to not rush Gordon back IMO - that's half the issue with him. Go with Barnes.

Good news about Tino but again he needs to be reintroduced carefully.

Hopefully that rules Wissa out of AFCON then.  If he isn't even training with the team, no way will he be fit for that.

tactical move by the club, perhaps

AFCON being a FIFA gig, if called up, DRC can insist he goes to be assessed by their medical team, we can't just say he's injured and it'd just be ok.

so if he hasn’t trained or played they could consider calling him up? Seems unlikely

Not so sure on that mind, if he is considered as one of their best players, or even The Best. And on the cusp of returning to training, it’s very feasible they will take a chance on including him in the squad at the very least.

Donnarumma about Tonali:

“We did joke around a bit."

“We have an excellent rapport. I have some photos on my phone that always make me laugh, he takes them when I’m not around.”

“Oh I know, I know, but he won’t manage. I also know that if he scores, he’ll celebrate right in front of me."

“We talked about this, but we’ve got a special relationship. It will be a very difficult game to play out there, they are a great team.”

My point is, they can and there's no manouvering we can do to prevent it, short of him retiring from international football, which he won't do with a potential WC on the horizon.

It would be bad form for them to pick a player who has missed a big chunk of the season after getting injured playing for them before he’d kicked a ball for us.

At the same time they’ll be acting in their own interests and will want one of their best players with them.

The only way he avoids a call up is if he tells them he doesn’t want to play Afcon but we have no idea what his feelings are on it.
