Me and my lass have been floored with for about 5 days. Despite being a nurse she hasn’t had the appointment for her flu jab yet. Two of my kids have had the spray. Both ok / minor symptoms. The other one hasn’t had theirs. We’re waiting on an appointment for him to get a jab as the nasal administered one caused an allergic reaction last year. And he’s been really poorly with it. So a combination of that and the symptoms suggests it’s the fucking flu. The real one, not the one people say they’ve got when they’ve got a cold. On the plus side I’ve barely eaten and have lost about three quarters of a stone already. So swings and roundabouts.

Apparently there’s 350% more hospital admissions for flu than the same time 12 months ago so there must be loads of it going around

I've had my jab but guess I could still have got it, maybe less severely. Rest. Of my family are okay so far. Got a 3 hour show to watch at the ice rink tomorrow, not what I want.

Addendum- Just had a proper road rager follow me in to an industrial estate and jump out for a rant whilst I was waiting at a barrier 

 

The prick was angry that I pulled out instead of smashing in to the back of a slow moving wagon or something- couldn’t really understand his Yam Yam accent. 
 

Funny as fuck tbh, the more angry he got, the more I laughed in his face, which got him wound up to the point of offering me a bout of fisticuffs 

 

I don’t know if was me tapping my monkey wrench on the dashboard, or asking him to hang in while I put my boots on, so I didn’t break my toes on his face, but after I’d got booted and turned back to the window, he’d fucked off.

I've been well and truly thrown under the bus by my line manager  

 

We're doing a job where the site gaffer is an absolute window licker.  He is complaining all the time he cant set out XYZ because he cant get a setting out engineer on site.  Well fuck off, that's not our issue.  It's a complex site and we have tried to simplify the foundations.  Last Friday I wasn't in the office, line manager agrees to update some information and hasn't communicated that to me.

Come in this morning, email from window licker addressed to line manager. Line manager is in meetings all morning, so I have tried to help and replied.  Architect replied with 'Where is your updated information as promised in the meeting on Friday, we need it today otherwise we are in delay'

 

Nice, lovely, lush, amazing.
