Been getting right in to these lately.

although it has to be said that your man on guitar definitely models himself on Nigel Tufnel.

Aye these are good. I haven't listened to loads of their stuff, but I've liked the vast majority of what I have listened to.

I think they’re more of a “have a little dip now and then” band than one you’d listen to a whole album in one go.

Having said that, A La Sala, their 2024 album is excellent.

( Also, re. The Nigel Tufnel comment I made about the lad noodling on guitar, turns out him and the lass both wear wigs when performing ).

Their stuff with Leon Bridges is the only stuff of theirs I’ve really enjoyed IIRC. And that’s because he’s such a fantastic vocalist. I find a lot of their music doesn’t linger in the memory for very long

Aye, fine for a dip or two.

If I went to one their concerts I could see them getting right on my tits before the end, tbh.

I wonder if Nigel had the same guitar tech as Hermanos Gutierrez, because he sounds very similar?

I do like the “distant” sounding vocals of the lass mind.

I’m too old to know who post malone is but he’s put a charity Nirvana gig on from his house and it’s not half bad

He was just in Phoenix for a gig. Afterwards, he went to the pub. At closing time he gave every member of staff enough to pay their rents for a month. Top bloke!

Maybe. Just saw the tickets were announced. Would mean staying the Saturday night plus rail tickets like. But I would like to go

He's not even doing the voice... the best thing about it is Al Needham's theme tune anyway :D

By a fucking mile! He puts more effort into the segments on the podcast though, probably at Needham's insistence.

There’s a new episode of Chart Music on The Patreon site @Gemmill @PaddockLad @spongebob toonpants

It’s just over 6 hours long

No time for that. Just been listening to the "TONY ADLEY AAHT ER SPANDA BALLAY" episode in which Taylor Parkes assassinates Paul McCartney's final attempts to write hit singles in the mid 80s :D
