  1. Past hour
  2. Abbott going directly to the BBC doesn’t reflect particularly well on her tbh.
  3. This guy needs to read the Art of the Deal and learn something, narcissistic moron to narcisstic moron.
  4. Well, that's the BBC talking point for the day, Nicky Campbell is on the vinegar strokes as I type. Funny how the BBC never want to talk about the literally dozens of tory MPs who have (usually reluctantly/forcibly) been thrown out for being blatantly corrupt or perverted. Not to mention is that we know the real reason Abbot has been castigated is because of the right wing tory client media who would compare her to Joseph Stalin if she was allowed to stand. Labour can't win. And also meanwhile no attention to the latest tory brainfart idea where they want to dictate to universities what they can and can't teach so they can "fund" apprenticeships. An idea which makes no sense under the most basic scrutiny.
  5. Plus it’s not like the financial benefit of playing in the conference league would do anything to help their shitty financial performance since Abramovich left so it’s almost a lose / lose for them. Ah well, we’ll take that problem off their hands.
  6. the mackems have a bitter, bitter hatred for the staffordshire minnows since alex neil walked out of their massive club to join the potters in '22. also, it's rumoured at around about the same time a stoke fan was heard to innocently remark that his club played in the same colour shirts as athletic bilbao and its spiralled out of control ever since.
  7. Mint news mate, pleased you got something sorted quickly, and it sounds like a winner too.
  8. How fucking corny is that feral hipster-look now, man?
  9. Apart from that short period when it was ‘Mag-like behaviour’. Which, by pure chance, coincided with them not being able to get hold of them, due to a tinpot operation in Co Durham having the contract for supplying the kits to fans.
  10. And go berserk when someone asks them if they are from Newcastle despite the accents sounding pretty similar to anyone not from the north east (or at least familiar with both). They’ll go full blown nuts at the notion they are a geordie instead of saying “hahaha na, mate…” which is the appropriate response to something so minor Luckily Newcastle is the famous part of the region so we never have to find out how we’d react to being asked if we’re from sun’lin. However, I think the laugh seems more likely.
  11. Different shift patterns for different roles I think, I know a lad from my last job who's there in a different role to mine doing a different shift pattern. Apparently a few of them already there were after this job so hopefully they don't bear a grudge!
  12. 3 days a week? Get me in if it’s not shite
  13. As I've mentioned before, I went on Keith Barratt"s plane to Kiev in 2003 which was in September and it was hilarious to see all the MLFs heading on holiday, scrambling to change their shit tops after clocking a few daft lads wandering around the airport.
  14. It's obligatory for them to be louder in the presence of non NE people, exaggerate their accents, trying to come across as sewper pally and over friendly before informing the unfortunate passer by that they're '....from Sunderland' when the unfortunate passer by never asked them where they were from in the first place.
  15. Aye, that's the weird thing. That Sunderland fans lay out their travelling outfit the night before a holiday and it's ALWAYS one of their shitty strips. And then they arrive and make a point of exploring the hotel and walking round the pool area in them, so everyone can mark their cards that the bamps have landed.
  16. Isn't in obligatory though for Sunderland fans to travel in their shirts and then wear them every single day of their holiday in Benidorm?
  17. Also, what's happening with Man City and Girona both being in the CL next season?
  18. You're invited to join European competitions aren't you? I don't think there's an obligation to play in them.
  19. It would make sense, especially as Chelsea are now only in the conference. Are they actually allowed to do that though? I.e. you’d think there’d be sanctions
  20. Today
  21. Shewally not? A NE based Stoke fan with no axe to grind against either club seeing more MLF shirts than NUFC shirts at the airport? Although he hasn't mentioned it I'm sure there was no fevered discussions with Mags about how they could just walk about with them on and everybody just letting them as that would just be silly.
  22. Agreed. She’s been a victim of being held up to different standards her whole career. And the scandal of the antisemitism in the party, and the need to deal with it has meant this is another example. I suspect that, given the stage of her career and how she’s been treated etc, she is being cantankerous and they would quite like her to retire. If they end up with c. 450 MPs they are going to have to deal with more dissenting voices though. If she wants to cause a big stink and basically be a Tory enabler after the last 14 years she can do one though.
