Didn't like NUFC = cunt. RIP

Not sure if it’s been mentioned on the football forum but journalist / writer Brian Glanville has died. Always seemed like a difficult type and as well as not having any time for NUFC he was particularly (and unfairly imo) critical of Bobby Robson’s tenure as England manager. Despite that he was an undoubtedly brilliant writer and I always enjoyed his articles in World Soccer, which I used to regularly buy. One of the first writers on football to elevate the craft to the standard more traditionally associated with cricket

Those saying Isak has looked off it. I think we have found out why. A few have said he looks like he's been carrying an injury and even DK said he's booked in for an op.

I agree but tight games sometimes need something or someone special. If its a matter of Isak being 100% next week then I'm completely fine with it BTW. Maybe Wilson can have a swansong to remember.

That prompted me to reply. I don't know a single City fan that takes trophies for granted. Yes it will have meant more to their fans as its their first ever trophy but please don't accuse us of taking it for granted. Yesterday was more important than CL qualification, we're not Arsenal targeting CL qualification every season then switching off. Mostly recovered from the disappointment of yesterday. I was fuming at Hendersons handball not getting a red but calmed down now. Nothing will convince me that that wasn't a red. Even Ian Wright said it was a red and that he (Wright) would have scored if that was him. Not sure why they'd have an ex Palace player in Darren Cann as VAR Assistant. He played in the Palace youth team as a striker alongside Ian Wright. But it's done now. I like Palace and live near them. Not met many of my Palace friends or neighbour yet. Although 1 called up and gave it large over the phone. Give her the benefit of the doubt for being a bad winner as it's new to her. For comparison, when we won the FA Cup in 2011 i got pizza in for everyone in the office the next working day. I did the same when we won the league in 2012 and a few times after. It was to make up for putting up with me going on about City all the time. A shame for Palace as it takes the shine off it for them imo. Not that they'll care obviously. I wouldn't. Main task today was always to keep Saka and Odegard quiet. We haven't lost anyone that would disadvantage us there. Gordon is back and should be flying. Honestly don't think us losing Isak in his current inhibited state is that big a deal.

Let's just thank our lucky stars that it's taken him 37 games to get injured. If it happened 3 months ago we'd likely be without a cup and without European place!

Just Isak being on get pitch scares teams. Wilson hasn’t even been good at holding the ball up since he got back so we will just be penned in. Hopefully AG can regain some form and run in behind.

Isak has been off the pace for a few games now. I'd still rather start him than not obvs, but we can afford to lose him more then we can afford to lose Bruno or Tonali
