  1. Past hour
  2. no offence meant with the cunt comment - it's the standard welcome to newbie posters who open with a provocative comment. didn't realise you weren't a newbie. if you're a long-time lurker you'll know we're a decent - if cliquey - mostly middle aged bunch.
  3. eloquence! oooh you smooth talker you
  4. Amitriptyline isn't used as an antidepressant much nowadays. More your newer SSRI type drugs. So @PaddockLad, everyone's reaction and experience is different, but that time of mine, I was on citalopram. I was off the drink almost entirely for a couple of months whilst I was taking it, and objectively I didn't feel much if any improved. I had grief I should have just worked through. But I did notice the combination of the drug with a pint gave me palpitations. So when I went on a planned holiday and wanted to drink, I stopped abruptly. I'm a pharmacologist ffs, I'm also an idiot. Anyway, the adverse effects from doing that were absolutely terrible looking back. Almost overnight the only way I could lift my mood from near suicidal was drinking, and within 2 weeks, well, you know, I was so malnourished I nearly died. This is just a cautionary tale to say that whatever Mrs PL does, DO NOT stop these drugs abruptly or without supervision. Everything in life, especially drugs, comes with benefits counterbalanced by risks. These drugs affect brain chemistry. The problem here is, if your brain stops working correctly, often you, essentially being your brain, can't rationalise it or act to correct it. I'm not advising against taking antidepressants, just to be aware the medical support available, a GP consultation lasting 8 minutes if you're lucky, isn't always adequate and you've got to be careful. Anyway, good luck to both of you. Take care. ❤️
  5. Watched the Netflix 3-parter on Fred & Rose West last night. They've managed to get their hands on a lot of police footage - fucking creepy watching him walking around the garden & basement just nonchalantly pointing out precisely where he buried his victims. Also gave insight into his surviving kids and showed an interview with his eldest son. Overlooked by the media but they were as much victims as those who were killed. They were also the ones who ultimately shopped them by pointing out they were repeatedly threatened with "you'll end up under the patio, like Heather!" Imagine having to live with the knowledge that both your parents were mass murderers. Seriously fucked up.
  6. Yeah agree with this, if we're missing Isak & Joelinton I'd go with: Pope Livramento Schar Botman Burn Bruno Tonali Miley Murphy Gordon Barnes Just don't let Gordon anywhere near penalties if they happen. Should given the ball to Titanium Bonce - he'll rip the fucking net off.
  7. The spelling of Howay The Lads on the back will no doubt trigger the unwashed.
  8. I mean you'd basically be putting him in ahead of Murphy. I can't see how going three at the back for this one.
  9. Scored a bullet header, a thunderbastard and has hit the post with grass cutting cunts a few times. Even if the above wasn’t true “running around a lot” is offering something way in excess of what the man with the popping tits brings to the team.
  10. That's essentially what I'd put him out there for but he has also scored a cracking header and a belter off his left foot in limited minutes.
  11. I thought the keeper could have done better, if I'm honest.
  12. One of LondonBlue's tribe ... clearly without LondonBlue's eloquence.
  13. Who knew that PL invented emojis back in 1965?
  14. Yeah, and I was probably a little early with that msg, and not a little pissed! Was just checking in to see any reaction to the goal as I have seen that you lot are generally fair and appreciative of these things. Lots of permutations for Sunday but you just have to match villa's result, I think? Unfortunately they have a virtual gimme at the swamp...
  15. He's taken them from 14th to 16th place. There isn't even a hint of glitter there.
  16. You're placing a lot of faith in Osula who so far has only shown that he can run around a lot.
  17. There's only so much polishing in turds and rolling them in glitter you can do tho
  18. And STILL CT won't fancy our chances
  19. The victory is more important as far as this will allow the club to make the next step to being top 4 regulars. But in the eyes of the fans, it's not even close to be as important as the first cup in my lifetime
  20. I'd say you were right. I think those running the club would view it differently. so the casting vote goes to those running about on the pitch over the course of the season, what do you reckon they think?
  21. 300k people won’t be lining the streets of town if we finish 5th
  22. more important? Up for debate does it mean more for supporters? Absolutely not
  23. Today
  24. and isn't that a sad indictment of modern football where actually winning something has become less important than finishing "top 5".
