  1. Past hour
  2. The twitter response from them should be exceptional.
  3. For their countries they are probably neck and neck - with Pele coming out on top, but overall Maradona has to go down as the better player for me. Pele never tested himself at club level, and stayed where his record could get some padding/massaging - and even counted friendlies in his overall stats (which if you counted friendlies for Messi and the Portuguese rapist he'd probably be some distance behind them). Maradona at the very least tested himself (and the local marching powders) in different countries, and excelled. Pele stayed in Brazil and went to the states which sets him back for me as he never put his ability to the test at an actually good standard at club level. Plus Maradona would have jawed him, all day, every day.
  4. yeah, fletcher knew. it was a bit like when keegan lost the plot in that sky interview. that was the moment england knew the aussies were cracking under the pressure. they turned up expecting to be able to steamroller us as per, as you could see by Punter's outrageous decision to bowl first at edgbaston - i was there for the last day of that test, (well, half day) still, bloody marvellous! it was such an enthralling series. that pace attack with flintoff, harmeson, hoggard and jones had a little bit of everything. all ashley giles had to do was tie up an end from time to time. the aussie batters had no clue how to deal with the reverse swing jones and flintoff were able to find with the older ball. clarke, martyn and gilchrist were all made to look stupid on more than one occasion. i do wonder if we'd have managed it without mcgrath's injury mind. they were still an incredible side, even if a few of them were over the hill. and they got their revenge next time we toured down under
  5. They gave it to us tbf, even rolled out a black and white carpet for our arrival. That's even more embarrassing for them than us taking it, good, proper or otherwise
  6. Aye they've got Arsenal then us, then Brighton away. Early finishes at OT for the next two matches.
  7. Apparently Fletcher just smiled back at Ponting who was mouthing off as he came off. Particularly significant given he cracks a smile about twice a decade. England did take full advantage of the fielding regs then but so fuck? Theyโ€™d have done the same. I remember Trevor Penney being used too. Another superb fielder
  8. is it their last home game of the season? Iโ€™d love to see their lap or honour to an empty old Trafford if we put 3 or 4 past them
  9. a dodgy ref/VAR is all that can save them
  10. that felt like the moment the urn was regained in 05 - Punter losing the plot at a sub fielder
  11. We'll empty Old Trafford by the 75th minute. BOOKMARK THIS.
  12. We took the black cats bar. Took the bastard good and proper
  13. Aye. 4 wins in a row would be pretty impressive, especially when 3 of them are away.
  14. we're going to beat man u at old trafford - mark my words. they'll have one eye on the cup final. we're getting players back from injury and have something to play for. plus we're mint and they're shit
  15. Then the internet came and posters were no longer required....
  16. Today
  17. Hope you're having fun. ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Despite them being absolute dog shit they are expecting a new defence in place by the time we roll into Manchester. Also, add to that itโ€™s in our DNA to lose games like this and Man Utd to somehow get the job done.
  19. Don't mind if I do. ๐Ÿ™‚
