  1. Tried unplugging it from the mains for several minutes ?? The old 13amp reset usually works wonders on mine.
  2. I think Mr Tommy Craig was influencial also, both him and Shearer clearly helped Roeder that season.
  3. Exactly, remember the horror of the news that Souness had been appointed.
  4. Mark Hughes would be a good appointment in my opinion, he's worked wonders at Blackburn in the wake of Souness.
  5. Klinsmann could definitely be interesting, whether he'd come here is a different issue though (tbh bigger and better would risk him I think). And Klinsmann's track record in club management is ????
  6. Whats the chances of Mourinho looking for a new club after the cup final ?
  7. The only reason Glen is probably now sacked is because renewals were in danger. Don't kid yourself that this board meeting was to discuss the football potential of this squad. Finance first, Fred knows nothing about football. The only reason Fred is still bumbling on is because of financial support, and that includes buying shirts We aren't in 13th place due to not selling shirts. You have to buy a season ticket before you can boo from the stands wearing the new shirt Who do you think appointed Roeder just one year ago? Does buying a pie and a bovril at half-time count ? It does when they are going at 500% mark up and your sitting there eating your pie and drinking your bovril watching the Toon get humped by a club that are reducing their season ticket prices by 25% next year OK, I need to find a club that sells refreshments at cost price..... I think that was Nial Quinns last PR stunt.... "Kids drink free"

  11. Considering their track record, that's not the news we want to be hearing. Until we see a definite "Roeder sacked" with accompanying images appear on your screen it hasn't happened! Alright Neil? You recovered from last night then? Can you keep your private liaisons to PMs - there's a sacking to be discussed in here! A potential sacking at the moment, until Jimbo can confirm it! Sadly I'm at work so I can't officially confirm until 6am at the very earliest !
  12. I don't see how buying a shirt constitutes a vote of confidence in Freddy Shepherd, pulling the plug on the clubs finances is not going to take the club forward.

  14. Much the same quote on Talksport news.
  15. They're now saying it is Roeder! Nowt confirmed yet though. Aye, was about to post the same thing, their quote was something along the lines of "unconfirmed reports coming from Tyneside that Newcastle and Glenn Roeder have parted company."
  16. Don't let the door smack you on the arse on the way out Glenn.
  17. I feel far more comfortable with my appreciation of the sport having read that. *I guess you'd prefer a KAPOW ! BIFF ! and BANG ! bubble to appear whenever a blow was landed ?
  18. Inoperable means he'll be on drugs to control the cancer for the rest of his life. It means what he has cannot be cured and therefore IS terminal. Was told my Mam's cancer was 'inoperable', it was only after she died that I was told it was actually 'terminal' and that they choose not to use that word. Best of luck with it all Sir Bob. Cancer is not curable completely. He has always required reassessment, which is what probably spotted this early. Cheomotherapy can do just as good a job as an operation in this case, as you can't remove his lungs, hence 'inoperable', but not terminal. You're on borrowed time from the first diagnosis, which in Bob's case was decades ago Bollocks. You forgot to include your medical qualifications in that incredibly detailed and well thought out post. And I would need medical qualifications to dismiss something that is blatantly complete bollocks because.... You can't just pidgeon hole cancer, there are different forms which have completely different levels of aggression.
  19. Best e-mail Oscar with your findings, it'll no doubt ease his pain. I already have, but to be honest, I think he's too busy counting the £22m he won for losing that fight.
  20. Anyway, I had it a draw 115 - 115, a couple of rounds I scored even, I wouldn't argue the toss either way, I can't quite see how one of the judges gave it to Mayweather 116-112, that seems too wide for me.
