As things stand (and look like continuing), the fans are pissed off and it's inevitable that season ticket sales will nose-dive again; Freddy knows this and will be shitting himself right now, there's no mistaking. If Freddy sacks Souness now, gets another manager in and things don't improve then season ticket sales are still unlikely to remain at the level they are now. Now then, if Freddy sacks Souness a week, or so, after the end of the season, then gets another manager in, the chances are that most of the season ticket holders will re-new in the assumption that things will get better. The season ticket sales are the main concern of Freddy imo; without the percentages of sales we have now the debt will become a struggle to pay off.

Strange. Heard the Northwich chairman on the radio yesterday. He said that he was a bit sad that sunlun only charged £10 for a ticket. He said, though, that sunlun actually wanted to charge £6!!!!! Not sure if that's worth taking the piss, or whether it shows that Merry is thinking of the fans' best interests.

Someone on another thread just suggested Shearer as manager. Personally, I don't think this would work. To be a manager, you have to be 100% dedicated to the football and your family life has to take a monumental back step. I just don't think Shearer can do this. Everyone knows his family is the main-stay in his life and I just don't think he could deprive them of his attention the required amount that's necessary to be a top manager. Heard a story on talksport last night which made me laugh. One of the ex-professionals told how he was playing in Europe with Martin Allen (the Brentford boss) for West Ham. In the programme, the home side had mis-printed his surname and it read...Alien!!! Well I thought it was funny

Just to add a note to this thread. Got a Philips recorder for me Christmas. The recording on 6 hour set-up seems okay to me. Whether this is because I'm on cable I don't know, but the recorded picture is pretty good. Now to put all me tapes on DVD!
