I went to school with a lad who, upon his first conquest of a lady, impregnated her with triplets. He's never had a shag since, off anyone. :icon_lol: I'm stopping in. The wifey's out tomorrow so got to be fresh for the bairns and I'll have a good shlog on the bus down to Wigan on sunday. NYE is shite anyway.

Shane Ferguson tearing apart international opposition
Mac-Toon replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
And Beardsleys and Hughtons and Henry Winters etc etc etc Aye Hughton. So, surely he watched enough of Ferguson to know he wasn't ready for this level hence his lack of game time and having others playing ahead of him week in week out. In fairness to Pardew he's going to want to make a good start to the job and will rightly, imo, utilise his experienced squad to get him those results. In my job if I had 2 lads doing the same one, one a brand new'un and another with years of experience, I'd use the experienced lad to get the big job done. Often regardless of their work ethic etc because I know the skills are there, it's just finding a way to get the best from him. As much as I respect Hughton, his assertion Lua Lua wasn't read was one of his mistakes. He was by a million miles the best player in League One till he broke his leg. Look at Brighton's shit form since that happened, and the way Jonas is playing he could've been a good option especially with Jonas and Routledge playing one good game in five. Regarding Ferguson, seen him playing full back at reserves a lot but he's equally adept further up the park, he's a good prospect. Looked excellent against Aldershot Stanley in the League Cup. I've not seen nearly enough of him to have much of an opinion on him. What I was saying though was in response to CT saying 'Beardsley, Hughton and Winter' so I'd have thought Hughon would've had a good idea where he's at. You're reet about LuaLua, looked class at Brighton but then Shola looked class in the championship. I hope and like to see the young'uns coming through I just understand Pardew if he sticks with experience with him being so new into the job. You gan down on sunday mate? -

Show me one person who doesn't think he's a great signing. Your words are lost even trying to explain.

White lines al owa the pitch. On the edge of oblivion. Half empty stadium. Must be Wigan. I'm going down on Sunday, not a good omen for the black and whites. This'll be my 24th away game and we've failed to pick up 3 points on any of my other jaunts. Add to that the fact we've not beaten Wigan on their own patch for many years, we could be in for a rough day. N'Zogbia out for them, but fuck that, why worry about Wigan Athletic? Go through their team and I wouldn't swap any of them for ours. Rodallega's decent but him aside we shouldn't be worried. The main issue come sunday is how we set ourselves up. If we go how we did against Spurs and leave Carroll out on the edges unsupported again we'll get turned owa. I'd play Krul, Simpson, Collo, Williamson, Jose, Barton, Tiote, Nolan and Jonas with Carroll and Ranger up top. We've got to go into it believing we can beat them. Let's have a reet' , they're fuckin' nixi them lot. Martinez is a bellend aswell, got nowt about him, melts in with the Di Matteos of this world. I do like how Whelan hates Ashley though. That's why I utilise his gymnasium to ogle the crumpet for a mere 35 notes a month. 2-1 Newcastle. Ryan Taylor come on and win it at the end. Howay.

Jonas has grown lazy of late and needs a wake up call but I'd be wary of hoying Ferguson in without much experience. I wouldn't have said 'it's a disgrace' but you're right in the underpinnin' of how poor Jonas has been. That's what you're getting at, aye? Rather than how good Ferguson is. I've not seen much of him if I'm honest but I'd say the same of any of our untested. -
As a manager with 'more experience' we should, as the owners do, expect to see an improvement in both performances and results, surely? It's good to have Ben Arfa tied down no questions it's just the people questioning the timing are savvy and have come used to second guessing the ownership, i.e buyin' the fans off so they don't have to buy in january I think that's probably the misunderstanding, tbf. Taylor better than Williamson? In potential maybe but not on performances. I've seen very little progression from him since he broke onto the scene with daftys shouting 'next England captain him like'. Think it maybe went to his head and obv injuries have fucked him.

I'd only take Keane on a short term deal 'til the end of the season. His wages are ridiculous and we'll not meet them anyway. 3 or 4 years ago I'd have bitten 'Arrys 'and off to get him but not anymore. Too old and blatently carrying an injury with him not getting as much as a sniff at Spurs. SWP. Hmmm. Would be a decent signing but we'd have to put up with his daddy having an opinion on our club then.

The best band Ever. No questions.

Bold 1 - He has adopted someone else's squad but that's a squad which is more than capable of performing. Bold 2 - Why he felt any need to speak about the twitter carry on to the media is beyond me. You're right CH wouldn't have said anything. That's because he would've told the players and not the media. Bold 3 - Finally it will be dealt with? How's that like? Just because he recognises he needs pace doesn't mean the funds'll be released for him to recruit anyone. Bold 4 - Tied Taylor down, aye. He's not actually that great though, is he? On Ben Arfa, the only reason he'll be signing next week is so they can pass him off as a january signing even though it could be left until the end of the season. I really really dislike Pardew. I think he's an odious little cunt, backed up by nesting players wives and the like. He's shite. Tactically inept. Not engaging for the fans. He'll crash and burn, guaranteed. I'm sensing some negativity towards the Pards, there, Mac. Who? Me? No, never He's more my fall guy to be honest, and I'll measure him as being 'more experienced'. Hence, I'd expect to see him change things throughout matches given his far superior knowledge of the game and experience. The board set the yard stick here mate, not me. I'm expecting nothing from him and hoping to be pleasantly surprised. That's about the best I can say. We're basically fucked under Mike* anyway. *Never trust any cunt British who calls himself 'Mike'. If you're a Brit and you're name is Michael it just has to be Mick or Mickey if you want it shortened. I said that exact same thing to someone at graft a few weeks back. Maybe it was on here, I can't remember. Fucking Mike It's Mick or Micky and nowt inbetween. Yee kna' the craic.

When I saw him on the news yesterday I immediately thought 'Why is he only saying this now she's been found'. The very scum of the Earth. I hope he get's daily doses from Omah in HMP and has to gobble the wardens for book tokens.

What would happen at the Toontastic New Years Party
Mac-Toon replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in General Chat
A group in one corner arguing about which regime was better. Minor scuffles breaking out. Lot's of confusion when people fail to recognise eachothers descriptions when it transpires everyone's 2 inches shorter and 6 inches wider than they previously claimed. And someone nursing a pina colada looking sheepish in the corner. -
1) Liverpool. Overly pushy of their history. Love a drama. Hate them, their plastic scouser fans. Love to see them beat. 2) Sun'lun. Just bitter, cold in wor shadow. always have and always will hate everything which represents the place. The scum of the earth, not a mackem excluded from that. 3) Villa. Shit fans. Shit city. Shit. 4) Spurs. Second biggest club in London and the fans accept this. Stinkin' dirty area. The rest fall into a group of also rans with; Wigan, B'Ham, B'Pool, W'Ham, City etc. Like to see Blackburn dee well with them being one of the few to win Premier League. Chelsea are fuckin' nowt. Shittest of fans. Shit ground. Shite. Arsenal and Man Utd unfortunately are the place to be.

If ever there was a case for a player 'making it' due to a physical attribute he is it. Always referred to as 'Big John Carew' (By anyone idiotic, btw) yet he's smaller when he jumps for a header than he is stood still. Hopefully this behaviour at Villa will put off any prospective buyer, namely us.

I've enjoyed this season so far, aswell. Fair enough we've been beaten off Spurs and Man City but I rest happy in the knowledge that we're Newcastle and they're nobodys. Look at City on that table 2 seasons ago. 18th. I'm a happy man aslong as I see a squad fighting for our club and putting in the effort. That's one thing nobody can doubt from this current squad. Not confusing effort with talent, btw. I'm comfortable where we're standing at the moment and whilst some shit themselves with worry you only have to look at the table to realise that every teams fans from Blackburn down will be thinking the same. What will be will be, I'm confident we'll perform well in the second half of the season and be safe by end of April. Here's to a happy and successful few months. Or maybe I'm over optimistic.
-
When asked at the start of the season what you wanted from it, what were your answers? Mine was plain and simple 'to avoid relegation'. Surely, we are whereabouts we assumed we would be at this stage of the season. Fair enough, we've had some great results and some not so great results but we're still in with a fighting chance. The league table is a bastard this season because it's so tight one win and we're talking about Europe and a couple of defeats on the spin and it's 'We're getting relegated'. Personally, I'm more confident in the characters we have in the squad now to keep us up compared to the bunch who took us down 08/09. The panic button is a long long way off for me.

Heard the one about the player who falls out with his boss, claims he can’t play because he’s snowed in and then declares himself unfit when he does finally turn up? John Carew is the player in question and his excuse for not getting back in time for the Christmas programme, then ruling himself out upon his return, sums up what Gerard Houllier is up against at Aston Villa. “Carew said he was stuck in snow in Norway,” said Houllier, with a hint of disbelief in his voice. As excuses go, it’s up there with ‘the dog ate my homework’ in terms of plausibility. Houllier is a decent man and a decent coach. His successful record at Liverpool, Lyon and latterly as technical director of the French Football Federation are testimony to his knowledge, talent and experience. But the urbane Frenchman looks to have made a huge error of judgement in returning to the Premier League to manage Villa, given their dramatic slide under him following his appointment as Martin O’Neill’s successor. This time last year, under O’Neill, Villa were in fourth with 35 points and eyeing a Champions League spot. Now they are in 15th, on 20 points, with little sign of them escaping the battle for top flight survival. So who’s to blame? O’Neill was said to have lost the dressing-room and quit on the eve of the campaign at the height of an ongoing dispute with chairman Randy Lerner over a lack of funds to take his squad to the next level. Now Houllier, too, looks to have lost the faith of some of his players, his bust-ups with senior ones like Carew, Richard Dunne and Stephen Ireland confirming the feeling of a club in crisis. Birmingham City fans, revelling in Villa’s decline, taunted their rivals by chanting “You’ll get Sam Allardyce” – the message tongue in cheek. Yet Big Sam, for all his perceived limitations, would surely be an improvement on Houllier, who does not deserve to have his record blighted by an ill-fated decision to return to the Premier League

I can't see what all the fuss is about. So what, he posted it on Twitter but that hardly would've changed Spurs gameplan now, would it? They always rely on their widemen and use them like they did yesterday so basically, in truth, it made fuck all difference to anything. Pardew may feel agrieved, but he should'nt say it how he did.
