One little wanker in particular - looked like Roger Thames but smaller - (was an ex-bank manager as he reminded everyone constantly) took the opportunity to earn his 'consultancy fee' for addressing the group for a 2 hour seminar by telling of his problems as he and his wife encountered paying for petrol while driving through France, then their experience of being stuck in the Channel Tunnel, then about the level of customer service he wasn't getting anymore at the Mazda garage where he and his wife took their cars for servicing. This took up best part of an hour and 2 people left . Another lady there handed out some cards for a bank's Business Manager who she found helpful . She was trying to be public spirited and helpful - to total strangers, but who were in the same situation. This smarmy little shithouse then sarcastically put it to her that she was probably getting a 'fixers fee' or somesuch for doing so. Like she was undermining his shitty fucking gathering in some way . Excuse the French but gets me really angry thinking about these lot. I was contacted sometime later invited to give the ubiquitous 'feedback' shite so they could validate their existence/funding. Needless to say, it was at that juncture that I took the opportunity to give my feedback whilst also offering them some advice of my own . While I'm on - and in an associated vein - another of these 'specialist consultant bodies' not worthy of anything other than contempt and hopefully also now ejected from the gravy train was 'Next Step' .
