Aye, I'd say so too. And if they're giving you the same notice clause then they can hardly argue the toss if you choose to exercise it. I suppose the only thought is if there's a possibility you'd be applying for something else with them in future.

Never been in a job without a lock-in/probationary period, so no. Don't know how I'd react in the same circumstances, either; I'd probably feel like I was pulling a bit of a cathword's trick, but then you've got to look out for yourself too.

Tip top. On the way home from Once the Musical and ee, it was good. Really interesting production, quite unlike your usual West End fare. (It was a pressie for the fella's birthday, but I do like giving gifts that I'll get something out of too. )

I really like Christmas but I'm also terribly glad to have a small family. The parents have learned to go to Lanzarote for a bit of winter sun every year, so I nip up when it's my dad's birthday in early January instead and deliver them a nice bottle of plonk from Selfridges and all is fine. Christmas itself is spent with the inlaws and they're the kind of people who say several months in advance that they want this film or this Jam CD reissue, and for all that's desperately unromantic, it makes life a heck of a lot easier. They buy me whisky.

Two episodes down, probably on 4oD I imagine. (Apologies for the thread hijack, Dave. Ask people to get you booze then invite me, Ollie and Matt over to destroy it all. Simple.)

Are you watching The Sound Of Musicals on 4, CT? It'd be right up your Bourneville Boulevard. Reason I ask is next week's episode features the lead in the Bodyguard losing her voice. The drama
