  1. Aye, Leeds/Reading is not looking astounding either. That one was going to be my '1 dayer' treat to help fill the glasto void. I'm even 'meh' about that now....
  2. Serious, I'm not bothered now that I'm not going this year. I'll miss the atmos etc, but the lineup is so poor that I don't feel gutted about not being there.
  3. Nod32 for AV - smallest memory footprint of all the av progs. Won several awards too. Firewall - windows own and the firewall on my router Spyware - adaware and spybot. Windows defender likes to get in on the action also.
  4. Depends on two things: 1) Do you have an s-video or video out socket on your laptop (s-video looks a lot like the old ps2 mouse shaped socket, normal video looks like a phono socket and is usually coloured yellow) 2) Do you have either of the above on your TV? You might not need to worry too much about the TV if you have one of those Scart to Video converter jobbies you get with some games consoles. The av plugs are coloured the same for everything (Yellow = video; audio is either white & red or sometimes black & red). Other than that, all you need are the right cables. You'll need a 35mm jack to phono lead (to get the sound out of the laptop headphone socket and into your TV using the av sockets usually found on the front of the TV) and either a video or s-video cable for the picture. As for the f10 bit, it varies across laptops. It's sometimes f7 or a function key + the f7/f10 key. It basically cycles through 3 options: laptop, laptop & tv, tv only. Word of warning, get this setup and working before you play any video. Windoze doesn't like messing around with tv/monitor setups once it's playing a video. Get it so you can see your desktop on your tv then you're ok
  5. Some band I just came across on an blues radio station. The Hoax - English band apparently. Broke up in 2000 and are apparently reforming. Some nice stuff.
  6. Aye, his deadballs are consistent like. Consistently poor that is.
  7. Not sure why? Cos he was playing poorly? Thought he a decent game and is coming on leaps! Mixed IMO. Had some great runs forward (final ball let him down) but made some defensive mistakes. Nothing that resulted in any serious problems/goals but he needs to be aware. not bad. All in all though; a point away from home against a team not only higher than us in the league but on a bit of a high atm is good imo. I'd have loved all 3 obviously, but 1 away is not bad. As someone else has said, Owen could have scored but Defoe should have.

  9. Good win for us. I also had to resort to 5live once my link went down. Could someone PM me the links you were using that worked? I'll bookmark them for next time The results below us have gonw pretty well for us too Looking forward to MoTD tonight for once
  10. You really are a muppet aren't you? You begin your post by stating you haven't read the thread, but 40% of us are 'wanks' anyway who haven't got a clue..... but we may have said what you are about to say? Just take 5 mins to think about what you are about to say before you type it eh? You might have been a supporter for a long time who has a sizeable knowledge of NUFC; but you don't half come across like a complete pleb sometimes. Oh, before I forget; you do get a redeeming 3pts for not referring to either the group or a singular person as either a 'cunt' or a variation thereof. Tedious tbh The other 60%. If I come across as a "pleb" and a "muppet" to someone who still uses these phrases a good 10 years after people stopped using them (other than Welsh cunts like Charlotte Church in that advert) then ye naa what, am fuckin devastated. Get to bed you boring cunt, you have fuck all to say. Aye, whatever you say Stevie. You've done nothing more to change my opinion of you. You're consistent, if nothing else. Which is something our team should aspire towards.......
  11. Another game that looked like we might lose in the first half, another game we should have won in the second half, and another fuck-up in defense. With the absense of Duff, Zoggy, and Milner it was pretty obvious there wasn't going to be many crosses going in from the wings. I thought Martins should have stayed on, Geremi or Barton should have made way for Zoggy. Geremi for me; but if I'm honest, I'd rather he never played for us again. On top of that, I would have gambled for the win. Having said that, I'm not at the pointy end of the stick; and under the circumstances a point away from home against a team in the position B'ham are in is worth ensuring we got.

  13. I disagree. Where Martins worked well with Owen and Viduka, The Zog was dangerous on his own. As an aside, did anyone else notice Owen coming quite deep to collect the ball? Something I would have thought Viduka might have done (then again, he wouldn't have been in position for the flick on). My point is that if Owen hadn't have done it no-one else would have? Martins was going all out (but then he's trying to play into favour) whereas Owen might have seen the bigger picture (if one of us doesn't go back we'll all get fuck all). Granted Owen has been favoured mroe so is maybe not under the 'need to impress the boss' fear Martins is. Having said that, Owen is struggling himself at the minute so he has a much to prove as anyone. That last bit is not a statement per ce, more an observation with some mixed thoughts....... Owen was in the right place to get 2 tonight. That's all we really need to see from him. If he'd been upfront more (like Martins) he'd have been in the right position more, but then, if he'd not gone and collected the ball to fashion chances, there'd have been nothing for him to get on the end of..... arrgh cannot compute..... syntax error, substring out of range...... err....

  15. Taking Martins off killed our momentum. I wonder if that was Keegan's idea? A point away from home is welcome at this stage in the season. I wonder if this si an example of a more cautious Kk? A bit older and a bit wiser? The KK of old might have thrown caution to the wind and we might have conceded another late goal. The Zog was hardly a defensive sub, but I'm trying to make sense of the sub, or at least rationalise it. Perhaps the idea was for the midfield 3 to shut up (they'd hardly been great for most of the game) and leave the Zog to link up and make any attacking runs? Anyway, as much as I would have liked the 3 pts, coming away with 1 against a team wanting to avoid the same relegation fight as us is welcome. The improved 2nd half will rebuild some confidence I've no doubt.
  16. I can't understand why Zoggy isn't playing. He's easily worth a try over any of our current 3 mids. Geremi is a waste of space, Barton can't pass (he's made one good one I can recall this game) and Butt has been poor. I'd say Butt has been the best of the three, but that's hardly a compliment. Bring on Zoggy for Geremi and push Barton out right. Viduka needs to link some kind of play between the Midfield and Front. A win away from home against a team trying to avoid relegation was never going to be easy, but Christ we need the points also. Faye is getting ripped all over
  17. This place is getting more like N-O every day. Good use of the word 'Nadir' Alex - like it
  18. Tell you what, reading this thread, we look as pathetic as those scousers are making us out to be. Remember, they read the responses too you know. They must be laughing wigs off. FFS
  19. Bollocks. Nowt wrong with trying not to concede a corner. It could just as easily have come off Pennant and gone out for a goal kick and 19 times out of 20 it would have. Absolutely! Enrique did the right thing there and tried to play it off Pennant so we got the goal kick rather than conceding a corner. 999 times out of 1000 thats exactly how it would have gone. FFS
  20. Hips - This is the reason girls run like they do. Their hips are shaped completely differently to ours (they have babies you know ) and as a result their legs move in a different movement.
  21. New Stone Gods EP - Burn the Witch.
  22. 2:1 Us. Owen grabbing the 2nd in the 88th min. My son agreed with me this morning. Mind you, he can't speak yet so what does he know. Given our form though and the rate his legs move, I reckon if I drove him to Anfield today he'd get his game Hmmmm, might have started on the Grolsh a little early today........
  23. Dramatic 2:1 us with Owen sneaking it in the 88th minute. He celebrates quietly and we endure the next 7mins (90+5) with our hearts on our throats as Liverpool batter the shit out of us looking for an equaliser. Premonition-tastic .... and yes, the drugs don't work
